So will PSA assume responsibility for damage when they crack it out? of course not, they'll probably place a "Cracking tariff" onto the process.

Touché

I almost fell for this before I read it with the sarcasm font...

CDs and DVDs, just because they are digital mediums, aren't equivalent to cards.

Music has been heard live, on the radio, via vinyl, reel-to-reel, 8 Track, Cassette, CD, MP3 and so on. There is a history hearing the music in evolving delivery methods.

Movies in theaters (prints), TV, Betamax, VHS, SVHS, DVD, BLU-RAY, 4K Blu Ray, etc. Again, evolving delivery methods.

And we experience these things much differently as entertainment.

Cards are cards, always have been since their inception. The collecting of the physical items - items subject to damage, loss, wear is what "makes" the hobby a hobby. Companies trying to convince collectors that digital pictures are the same seems disingenuous at best, openly manipulative at worst. There's no history of evolving technology to deliver the experience. And it is a static thing - a picture.

This is why I never bought into NFTs. I have a piece of original comic art hanging in my place. I can see it online right now as a digital image. Not the same.

My two cents.
Totally makes sense! Thanks for the input.

sounds like physical card hobby - 99% of cards worthless 1 year after they release

I participated in many nft projects and always laughed at reignmakers for having the ugliest cards imaginable and autograph for those ridiculous passes that would 20x and then crash

Those are definitely the worst thing panini has ever done

They have kind of strayed away from it recently but do still include it in some sets like flawless

So you're all telling me my two 2020-21 Prizm basketball gold parallel packs (#/10) and my one 2020-21 Prizm basketball gold vinyl parallel pack (1/1) aren't worth a million dollars

Not sure why I never opened them.....I am curious which 1/1 is in my pack but I figure if it has ANY value it's likely more with it "sealed". I wonder if there's a way to tell which 1/1's are still left.

On a huge side note: I believe I sold the first NFT on the panini blockchain platform. It was a blockchain redemption from 2019 Flawless Football that came from the box I opened. It was a Peyton manning auto. I redeemed it and sold it fairly quickly. I believe 2019 Flawless football blockchain redemptions (one per box) were the introduction to the platform.

Don't remember what I sold it for but I think it was over $100

You have a one in 21 shot at the ant edwards 1/1 gold vinyl - which I believe would sell north of 50k right now

And yes you can see what is left with a bit of work

He definitely gets free packs and promo balance for being a toxic community leader
