Not unless he's traded to the Yankees/Dodgers.

Ha, no I get it. I have just a handful of his cards so if he isn’t hobby relevant I won’t be hurt. I just think he has been very impressive so far!

All I know is we need a few dozen more like this kid in baseball.....excitement personified. If the A's can find some pitching and get to Vegas with these kids in a couple years it will be electric.

I agree…I will watch the A’s to mainly see him, and the rest of the young crew perform. They are a great bunch

When I came to this country from Puerto Rico i was so happy to see people played baseball. At that time it was the AMERICAN SPORT. But now Baseball has to compete with other major sports in the US and those of us who love the game like me know that the only way that will happen is if we keep producing exciting YOUNG players like Elly De La Cruz, Bobby Witt Jr Julio Rodriguez and now Jacob Wilson When a player like this comes along it becomes an exciting game -and if baseball is to survive it has to be exciting to watch. -On the other hand questioning someone's mechanics or style respectfully is fun and should not be personal -discussions are what makes these blogs fun but 1 thing we have in common is we all love baseball and if Mr Wilson brings people to see baseball fantastic

I don’t know that he’s gonna be hobby irrelevant. He’s on a team with some pretty interesting young players, who will eventually be in Vegas, a bigger market. If in his rookie year the kid contends for a batting title, gets 200 hits, makes the All-Star Game, and wins ROY (all of which seem possible at this point), not to mention keeping up a Gwynn/Arraez-like strikeout rate, I could see him having hobby relevancy.

He’ll never be a basher so I agree that will limit his ceiling. He also needs his teammates to keep things going, so his R/RBI totals end up being respectable.

Great post! Couldn’t agree more! Nobody knows how these young guys are gonna turn out, but can’t say they are gonna be irrelevant when they’re already doing so much.

If he gets traded to a more popular team and adds some power things could improve hobby wise although I think his cards already took a leap forward.

He's an exciting at bat.....he's not going to strike out and not looking to walk, so somethings gonna happen......350 ba and more pop than Tony Gwynn has got my attention.

But too bad he will not be hobby relevant according to some rocket scientists

I get a card back from PSA tomorrow, and I am hoping for a decent grade.

He’s just fun to watch at the plate. (Take no offense to this) He reminds me of someone with Tourette’s syndrome .

His defense is pretty good as well

Not the grade I had hoped, but I didn’t see the print line when I ordered it. Nonetheless, a great card!
