Think its just a mixture of a lot of things. Personally I don't think he should have had a lot of say in coaching decisions, but idk if theyd have been much better with Nick Nurse with how injury luck and such played out. I think they built this team for the pre-new CBA environment and the 2nd apron rules rolled in right in time to cripple them and make it so they had to win with what they had. Idk how much of that can really be pinned on him outside of the Griffin hire and just expressing a desire for them to build to try to win now, though. He's been hard carrying them for a few years now.

I think the Bucks should have moved him and Dame a year earlier but I guess a lot of the fans would have been more upset.

Send Giannis to Charlotte Washington or Portland.

At least once he’s moved all the Milwaukee blowhards can’t cry anymore about how committed he is to the franchise.

I mean the guy stuck around the Bucks longer than Lebron did with the Cavs the first go around. I figure if a dude sticks around multiple contract cycles that's about as close to "loyal" as you can expect a player in any pro sport to be realistically.

I think the real question is can Giannis control his ego and need to control. He needs to listen to a team system process working to improve skills and attitudes on multiple levels.

I guess if you fail to perform you are forced to. But it would be nice to see him be part of a rebuild, instead of an ejected projectile.

The other thing I want to argue is, if the Pacers didn't exist last year (definitely) and to a certain extend this year, the narrative might have been much different. Indy is just a really formidable squad.

I think we have to say the big oil companies and mainstream advertisers backed the wrong playoff force.

Indy is likely getting clapped next round. You basically just played the first round against the Greek olympic team. The Bucks literally can't rebuild without their own picks until 2031 and two supermax contracts. One who just dealt with blood clots and a torn achilles. It's literally impossible unless they drafted a Jdub-tier guy from the trashpile. The choice is either give Giannis the Dame treatment or move on and rebuild.

I agree. But the blowhards said forever meant forever. So I’m hoping they eat it.

You can see them coping in Bucks reddit right now. "You guys are pathetic, he's never leaving. You have Giannis you keep him forever."

"Enjoy the play in's/1st round annihilations then..."

It's crazy how far ahead the top 3 were this year compared to the other All-NBA players

I mean Giannis really likes Milwaukee and fan adulation. Might work.

Question is, will he take the Brunson haircut they likely ask for? Is he serious about building a credible team?

Mathurin want to get paid.

MKE will pay Giannis whatever he wants. Every move they have made be it HC or players has been with him blessing the moves. As a Bucks fan I am hoping he loves the city enough to stay and will accept that yeah it might take a season or two to retool this roster and he will be ok with that and stay and after next season sign another contract.

I wonder If they would try to get that old coach back. Much as he was maligned, he knew how to get players working in synch toward a common goal.

The Magic would really be better off trying to build around Paolo with shooters rather than continuing this weird two man game they've got going with Franz and Paolo by switching to Giannis and Paolo

Were the Pacers ever favored to win any of their games vs the Cavs? There were probably like 3 people worldwide who legit predicted them to take the series lol

My guess would be Houston. My guess would have been OKC if they got bounced earlier but I think going this deep makes them want to run it back with their core. Maybe if the Wolves swept I could see it but they aren't on my radar anymore.

I just gotta think Dallas makes the most sense for Pick 1 and a few others.

Bucks are just so far away from competing, it's time to sell off everything and do a long term rebuild (if trading Giannis is the route they are going). Flagg gets you 8-9 years to do that, and Dallas is going to want to win now so that their GM gets the last laugh

Giannis isn't going anywhere. All this talk is a media-driven concoction, as it always has been every few years.

Outside of a meltdown, OKC is winning the title. But if they don't, would a J-Dub centric trade be enough to get Giannis?

Jalen Williams/Dort/Hartenstein/Wiggins and picks vs Flagg/Kyrie/PJ. Not bad either way.

If you are OKC and you (somehow) choked the title, you wouldn't pair two of the five best players on the planet together? With a deep bench?

What would be crazy is if OKC wins the title THEN does the Giannis for Jalen package lol
