Is this the beginning of the end for Indy? To have nearly a sure thing and the lose it because of resting on their laurels. Rick can’t get over the hump if the glue guys melt under pressure.

Indy is still up with a home game next game. Still in the driver seat.

Indy better win g4.

Knicks effed around with an experimental defensive lineup and won with Brunson basically giving nothing.

The #1 seed Cavs thumped the Pacers game 3 at Indy let's keep that in mind...

Kudos to the Knicks though for not giving up. Staying alive.

I find myself as a Nesmith fan and collector both glad at crowd's chanting his name, as in a college game, and a little embarrassed. But not embarrassed at all in his come-back to-the-game grit after a hard ankle roll.

Coach Carslisle: "I got the okay from him in the locker room of movement-without-limitation and decided to get him back out there before it stiffened up."

He was called upon to crunch alpha (he will take the blame for missing that not-easy layup at the end), but honestly Nesmith got involved too late in the game. I think he will be given co-reigns next time they have a close situation like that. As when he marshaled selfless offense in Game 1, backed by everyone's seamless support.

In that respect the "Nesmith game" echoes that 38 point comeback performance against the Spurs in his rookie year (the only time with the Celtics he was given the reigns was when the game was considered over and done).

I'm not results oriented, just relieved it was not as serious an injury as many feared. He probably even worked out some of the ankle issues while running and got the flexor tendons back into alignment.

Knicks a surprisingly resilient squad when it gets down to ball around the basket, but I wouldn't want to put either team in front. Like OKC vs. Wolves, it is suddenly very much now a series. (Though I couldn't be bothered to get out to see the last WCF, it doesn't sound like I missed much). Still have it at 5 until proven otherwise.

I guess fresher legs like Walker and Achiuwa may get run in the next game and that's where the competition gets intense.

A little critique: complete breakdown in rhythm after Nesmith left and that's why I think they need to be a little more considerate and not give him simply desperation passes. Quality touches. Proactively and randomly involved in the attack. Trust that Walker and Shep know their spots. Uncork Mathurin when Siakam gets tired.

Focus on improving and refining the offensive game. The defense is good enough and anyway, with the ankle thing one needs to focus on conserving motion and energy. Become the become the best 3-point shooter and fakeout fadeaway drill artist you can.

In the collecting sphere, I want to clear up a lot of misconceptions about Double A's primary collector base. Sure there are [continued in appropriate thread]

It's not a series until the home team wins lol.

That will turn out to have been the Knicks best effort.

Minny definitely not playing like it's their game 7.

Looks like OKC flipped the script and blitzed Kevorkian tonight.

Still well within reach but OKC looking like they'll easily hit that 110 mark, which doesn't bode well for the home team.

Almost inconceivable how bad Minny's 'stars' were tonight. 8 combined fg attempts. Truly admirable effort by the role players and bench to keep them alive.

But if they lose tonight, then we can all but write off Silver's coerced efforts to make Kevorkian the face of the league. Consecutive years of burnout in critical games at such a young age.

Antman is not playing bad. He's just not being aggressive which they might need during the clutch if they cool off from 3.

Pick one.

Since when is lack of effort ever considered playing okay? Wild times.

Cute effort by Minny. They overachieved this year. Props.

OKC O'brien in 5.
