Post season records are bunk.
Yogi Berra played in 10 World Series yet Joc Pederson, Justin Turner, Yuli Gurrliel, Josh Reddick all played more post season games. Post season records pretty much leave out any player pre 1994. Derek Jeter started his career in the ALDS/wild card era so he played 158 post seaon games. Had he played all his World Series games in the 50s/60s he have appeared in 38 post season games.

Starting off 2025 like a beast. Already 2 homers and four RBI’s. Killing it in the 1 spot or in the 4 spot. Is there anything this guy can’t do?

Just how much do you have invested in Schwarber cards? Or have you been hanging out with Hunter Biden?

He has 296 home runs for his career and has a .231 career batting average.

What numbers exactly is he going to have to get that first ballot selection? Think he has 5 more 40 hr seasons in him?

His career averages are almost identical to Adam Dunn. LOL.

I will say this, for 40 games this season, he has played like a Hall of Famer. If his entire career were like these 40 games, he'd be a slam dunk. But the season is long, careers are long, he'd have to keep this up for a looooong time to make the Hall of Fame.

17 WAR in 11 seasons with a high of 3.5 (split between 2 teams, Boston and Washington).

The AVERAGE HOF war is between 50-60.

Anthony Rendon has 2x the WAR as Schwarber, and he hasn’t played full-time since 2019.
Trevor Story has nearly 2x the WAR as Schwarber and he hasn’t played full-time since 2021.

Please, stop with Schwarber being a HOFer.
He’s a good HR hitter. That’s it.

It's a fun what-if if he gets to 500 homers, but his chances are close to zero even with that milestone.

And that would go along with around 1700 hits and 2000 Ks.

300 career home runs for the future HOFer. MLB record… fewest career hits to reach that milestone.

He'd have to play at peak Schwarber for 4 years(thru 36 years old) and he'd still be short of 500. He's a DH so he could play that long but its those latter 30 years where things tend to break down more quickly and heal much slower. He's currently in the talks for a contract extension of an alleged 4 years and $100 million. So at 37, you have to consider who is going to want to sign him to a contract worth anything close to that for the likely fall to 20-25 home runs per year for a DH? Maybe the Phillies do for another year so he hits that milestone. It's just so difficult to achieve. Now if he goes peak Schwarber the next 4 years, the Phillies win a title or two, is a WS MVP and he achieves 500 homeruns, we can revisit this.

What does 500 home runs, World Series MVP’s and championships have to do with getting into the hall? There are plenty of borderline players who never sniffed the post season lurking around in Cooperstown. Kyle is once again at the top of the stats list. Up there with Ohtani and Judge. Are they borderline HOF guys? Last time I checked only one of them has a ring. Dude came back from a horrific injury to push the Cubs over the top in 2016 and now is the best player on the best team in baseball.

It's called adding to your resume? Building a career that's worthy of the Baseball Hall of Fame? Brady Anderson hit 50 Home Runs in 1996 when Ken Griffey Jr, Barry Bonds and Frank Thomas were playing. WTH does that have to do with anything? Do you believe Schwarber is on the same level as Ohtani and Judge therefore he is a Future Hall of Famer? Cal Raleigh and Eugenio Suarez are just a level below them? You do understand that the average WAR for players in the HOF is roughly 50.0, right? Schwarber is at 17.0 in his Age 32 season. If you look at active players, most of their career WAR comes from their 20-something years.

Lastly, if you don't know it, career milestones such as 3000 Hits and 500 Home Runs are measurements of greatness in the MLB. Every single player not from the Steroid Era has been inducted into the Hall of Fame or will be when they are eligible(Cabrera,Pujols,Ichiro, etc.)

Edited to add: and Pete Rose

Ohtani 70 million
Judge 40 million
Schwarber 19 million

Is that different enough?
