Yeah, I have a direct sub over 2 months now since arrival, and it's still in R&ID. I'm just going to start submitting 4-5 cards at a time to Gamestop until PSA fixes their direct submission timelines.

Value Max and still sitting with green check mark since 5/2. Yesterday was the ETA and no sign of movement. Sad part is my last 2 recent Value Plus order was completed in 2 weeks

**UPDATE** They are behind on upcharge emails. Just received email for the upcharge and customer service email explaining the delay

They really must be having some issues with equipment or software. I had a value max complete on April 22nd that only took 19 days total from start to finish, and only 2 business days from Green Check to Graded. Has anyone in the past 2 weeks or so had their grades drop?

ETA: I mean for non-GameStop stuff... That almost seems to be separate at this point. Does GameStop do the scanning of the cards too, or is that only when you do a normal sub through the site?

Plenty of orders are going through at various service levels. I think however they are batching/prioritizing value and bulk is the root of what we're all experiencing. Hard to make sense of it.

Must of been because of an upcharge because i just got the email 10 minutes after writing this out. Now i cant complain haha

When a card comes across as being more valuable post grading than the service it was submitted at, the entire order gets held up as that card is sent to the "research" department (a different line/que) to get a valuation (and then the upcharge). That is where the delay happens for orders with 1 (or more) cards waiting for the research folks to determine the upcharge. After the upcharge is determined, there's another step of administration as someone needs to formalize all the details into an email to the customer.

If that's the case, I guess it would make some sense if they are trying to do some research. But, having it take a few weeks seems to be a bit extreme. They have tools built into their site that gives value estimates.

So, currently speaking, if you sit in green check assembly for longer than a couple days, it’s probably due to them being behind on up charge emails?

Sorry if I got your hopes up...there are other reasons for delays...the most common being that there are just so many orders that are waiting in line for the next step in the process...there's just no way of knowing the exact reason why your order and others seemingly are stuck in assembly. I think the biggest reason for why assembly is dragged out is the high resolution scanning that has to happen to every single card after a card has been encapsulated.

There's just no way to really know how many cards are in the "research" line...that is, if your order is in the research line. Depending on how many comps a card has, some may go through research quick while another card with few or no comps will take a lot longer for research. The research line is just one possibility...as mentioned in previous post, the bigger delay is most likely the need for every single card needing a high resolution scan after assembly/encapsulation. The month of April had 22 working days (Mon-Fri)...they graded 1.56 million cards. That's almost 71,000 cards a day that would need to be scanned before packing/shipping. We don't know how many scanners they have and how many people dedicated to the scanning process.

It’s all good, I only have one card that if it gets a 10 (50/50 proposition) would push it well beyond the $500 limit. I was trying to understand PSA’s process a bit more. I don’t usually use PSA so this is new to me, because, while I like the tux look, I’m over SGC’s cheap flimsy oversized slabs and probably will stop using them and need to get used to PSA and their way of doing things.

I couldn't make heads or tails of what that list was supposed to be showing, aside from the title of the card. The one column looks like it says "min grade"? And, none of the information in the app, the downloaded csv, or the psa site has a table like that so it's all sorts of confusing.

Upcharged emails that have yet to be reflected on the website aren't user friendly to paste.

I don’t know how accurate the GameStop app is because it is crazy it went from received to assembly in 2 days. When I dropped off, it was still 45 business days (now 65) but I figured that clock would start after PSA marks as received but maybe it is from drop off date?

oddstuff Member Join Date: Dec 2017 Location: CA Posts: 5,021	When a card comes across as being more valuable post grading than the service it was submitted at, the entire order gets held up as that card is sent to the "research" department (a different line/que) to get a valuation (and then the upcharge). That is where the delay happens for orders with 1 (or more) cards waiting for the research folks to determine the upcharge. After the upcharge is determined, there's another step of administration as someone needs to formalize all the details into an email to the customer.

When I dropped off, it was still 45 business days (now 65) but I figured that clock would start after PSA marks as received but maybe it is from drop off date?
