Just pulled 2025 Bowman Ultimate Auto Book Card!

Not sure of the scarcity, but definitely one of the best pulls of my life! And I’ve been collecting since the 80’s. Anyone have an opinion of value on the secondary market? There are 24 autographs on this thing. Unfortunately I can’t see it yet as it’s a redemption. But here’s the list of signers:

Any precedent for how this type of card fares over the years? Out of 24 of the top prospects in baseball, many will be MLB regulars, and maybe 1 or 2 turn out to be All-Star calibre.

All depends on their future. A lot of hype around a lot of these guys now. Now maybe the best time, BUT a lot of nice names on that list. Everybody is high on Jac, Bryce is doing good. Made is another high hopes prospect. It just depends on how you think they will be. The hype is there now to sell.

Another thing you have to consider is displaying something like that where you would get maximum enjoyment is difficult. You would likely need to have a custom frame made to protect it as none of the grading companies that I have ever heard of make slabs that big.

100% sell now. Cards like this with so many players with nothing in particular connecting them don't do great. Further hurting it will be that 95% of the players won't amount to anything hobby-wise.

For reference, see the same card from 2017 containing Judge, Soto, and 22 other dudes. Last two sales were $1200 and $710.

Definitely one of those cards that you really just have to hold onto to see how it turns out - unless you manage to move it immediately.

Yep - I'd say that's about as good as one can hope for on one of these cards. Maybe a bit below the ceiling? And yet, see the recent sale prices just above my post. To add a data point there - I paid 900 for mine ~3 years ago, so the price has been pretty steady for at least that long.



Last year's card is looking pretty good so far, but if the shine falls off of one or two of the Jacksons and/or Skenes comes down to earth, it's probably similar:




2020, similar story - Bobby, Yordan, and some 'can't-miss!' guys who are starting to look a bit less 'can't-miss!' after all (plus Wander, who will always be a problem for this card - another risk you run on these big ensembles, though hopefully not one that actually plays out ever again!):

Those cards look pretty cool in those screw down holders. But I'm definitely going to try and sell now at peak hype.

The actual cards almost always will sell for more than redemptions (unless it's a mystery redemption and the guy you get is a bum )

I still can't believe someone sold the redemption card for an Ohtani 50/50 gold #'d to /50 game-used relic auto card instead of redeeming it first, especially since there's a chance the redemption ends up being #50/50.

YEah, even if this year's draft class ends up being the best ever, there are still gonna be several guys on that "card" that will end up complete bums tainting it.

If Topps actually had every player hard sign the booklet, it would take a decade for the card to be ready to ship out. Lol
