Like everyone I can't wait to add some black parallels to the collection form 2025 Topps and crazy to know both series 1 & 2 will be coming out same time.
Also what do you think the print runs are for the Sandglitter & the Topps foil for some reason I like them |

Rookie question but is it standard to have pre orders open up without a checklist released or exclusives in each format? Specifically curious about what was said regarding the black parallels above.

Yes since post pandemic that has often been the case. Fanatics knows people are going to buy most products regardless so there is no need.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if they were exclusive to Fanatics Blasters or Fanatics Fest boxes. If they number them /74 as last year was /73 that's 51,800 Black Parallel's between Ser 1 and 2. So many would get pulled that it would kill the value as people would be like well they come 8 to a hobby box (Obviously guessing here). So they would be wise to either distribute them evenly over the rest of the 2025 releases or make Series 1 exclusive in some way.

200k Hobby and Jumbo boxes last year. So if 52k Blacks, maybe like 3 per hobby case? |

Without a checklist and odds, its a questionable buy. Topps really needs to put out checklists and odds as soon as they announce preorders.

But they won’t because that could negatively impact their ability to sell. New products are guaranteed sell-outs with zero information released. Why would they ever want to jeopardize the success of their genius marketing model by releasing information that their largest group of buyers couldn’t care less about?

I would definitely be more inclined to buy a pre-sell if I knew who was on the checklist. I guess there are people who buy this produce, sight unseen, because they simply want to get the best price (saving $10 maybe?) and because they don't know how weak it might be.
Generally, I don't think Topps really gains that much by keeping the odds and checklist a secret for fear of depressing demand. Not releasing the list only creates the perception that they are hiding something. |
