So only day 2 and one of the bigger breakers already doing half case randoms and mixer breaks with boxes when used to do full cases and multi case breaks for nearly a month. Not sure how to feel about that.

Opened a few blasters last night and decent on the color. Pulled a Pages Orange auto #/25 paper, gold shimmer Yu Min Lin, Walker Jenkins reptilian and sparkle.

Hyesong Kim has a RC logo. Had he not been called up over the weekend, he wouldn't be eligible for an RC in time for Bowman to drop this week.

I mean, I realize there's no problem with the sole license breaking the RC "rule", but what stops them from putting any prospect in a product and slapping the RC logo on the card?

Sealed is the way to go for guaranteed appreciation. Just don't buy at the wrong time. The people buying up the cases on Topps thinking they were going to flip at $1,000 a box were buying at the wrong time. And had the wrong expectations. Things were different in the past when pricing was better to start, but now, Bowman peaks on release day. Its the absolute worst time to buy and the buyers who don't understand the Bowman market thinks all Bowman goes up starting at release. It just doesn't.

To get a 50% ROI on a $500 Bowman box at release is hard, and likely not going to happen unless you hold for years. Buying the bottom (lets say $350 as a round number) and getting a 50% ROI is "easy" if its a good product and you know when to purchase it. That return is basically getting back to the starting price, and always happens with a good release. There are good hitters in here, so it will happen again. You asked about October, I almost never give out my specific data but October was "in the valley" towards the bottom. It wasn't the bottom but buying then would have been good. A 6 month hold would have netted a nice return. As long as someone isn't doing it on a credit card and paying interest. I guess that still works, but it will kill your return.

He signed a major league contract. Different rules for the international guys. Same reason Ohtani was in heritage before the season started

They're in the CL. That pic sure doesn't look like paper to me, but it doesn't have the Chrome logo on it either.

I was just surprised that they had veteran autos in this product. Hadn't remembered that being the case previously. Hadn't looked at the CL, as it isn't very likely I dive into the product this year. Appreciate you sharing that though.

Agreed on it not looking like a paper card with the finish on it. It also appears to be a sticker auto, which also makes me think it is a Chrome card. Wouldn't be the first time they didn't have the proper "B" coloring to denote Chrome in a Bowman product.
