Default Ebay AI photos…yay or nay?

Anyone using this on their listing photos, at least the main one? I think it’s pretty new. Nothing like a 97 Finest Griffey out in nature haha

I would skip over these listings if I'm saw them personally

eBay is so dumb. These are not the features people are asking for.

I wouldn't bid on any auctions that used that, I'd be too concerned that the card itself was photoshopped/cleaned up in some way and its harder to see the edges against a fake background.

The AI is better than it was when Ebay first did this, but AI makes me feel like something is being hidden. Idk.

Well just in case you need to see a card on the sidewalk before you buy it.

Idk. As mentioned it’s at least better than it used to be. The options aren’t all outdoors, you can just have plain studio-lit backgrounds, which may work better vs a cluttered background.

I’m thinking for a main pic maybe it’s not the worst thing, might grab attention on a search page…but if I was using it as a seller I would also include non-AI pics after it so buyer can see clearly what they’re getting.

Unless it's two girls in bikinis drinking beers in the background, I'm not interested.

Does it have to multiple beers or would one per girl work? (Asking for a friend)

You’re reminding me of a seller on ebay a few years back whose gf/wife modeled the card in the main pic. Typically the card up against large…assets. That’s one way to market a trading card smh. Wouldn’t be surprised if those listings got extra clicks though.

This thread reminded me of a similar seller like that. I think they sold jerseys and clothing mostly. She would be in a bikini or revealing top holding up the jersey.
