Sounds like an investment, not a PC.

Father time always wins. I'm not sure if people realize that only about 10% of all mlb players make it to 10 years.

Is that so? Then how come Judge just keeps on getting better with age. Mabye he didn't get the memo or 33 isn't as old as you think it is.

I thought it was fairly obvious that this doesn't apply to everyone. He might be in the 10% but he isn't going to play forever. Hopefully he stays healthy and continues to play well for years to come.

Gotcha....fair enough. Am just tired of hearing people talk about "injury prone big guys and their quick declining performances" blah blah....Aaron Judge is Aaron Judge not Mike Trout or anyone else. Let the dude ball and cut the negativity.

Best April in the history of baseball.

Quietest I’ve heard the haters . Don’t worry first slump they will be back here.

Man, it's really going to suck when the decline starts and he's only OPSing 100 points better than the 2nd best hitter in the league instead of 300.

Better get out while you can, guys

Not to bring him up but how many times was that said about Ohtani, or even Harper for that matter. The reality is nobody knows.

Rolling the dice meant getting rid of a few high dollar cards of his that I would never be able to sell for as much as I could get down the road. I am not waking up and all of a sudden selling my whole judge collection. I hardly sell my Yankees cards unless I have doubles or multiples of certain cards. I guess anything can be considered an investment and not pc but you can’t take them to the grave with you and unfortunately my son isn’t into Sportscards.

I hope whoever bought my 2013 Draft Chrome auto back in the day for $40 did really well for themselves

This is what I always tell people: if you’re thinking about selling, just sell.

I had what was most likely the greatest Tom Brady collection till 08. Shortly after the transaction Brady had his knee be torn up vs KC in the 1st game of the year. The buyer called me just to tell me to thank him that he purchased the 100 card rare rookies of Brady when he did. I de-escalated his fury by letting him know that he would be smart by holding onto the cards. Brady’s recovery and performance could have gone south but he prospered. It was probably close to a Million by the time he released them. People have asked me about regrets, none on my part. This guy from the East Coast took the risk and he should be rewarded. I feel good for him. He never called me back even though I have the same cell number to say the transaction was great for him but he doesn’t have to. Life is to short for regrets. He was told I would only sell it all or nothing as a collection and he prospered even more. Some people shy away from package / collection purchases but in the two I’ve had and two I’ve dealt, all parties made out.

Good advice that out of my own stupidity I have failed to take. I would say most of the cards people hold have gone down. Sure there are a few outliers but not enough to make it worthwhile. I salute the guys who sell when a product or a player is hot and sell at the most opportune time as that is very hard to do.

That guy who alluded to Judge juicing and being past his prime should chime in!
