Sorry first time posting couldn’t really figure out how to post a good photo from my phone. It’s a 5/5 red refractor of Luis Peralta on the Rockies.

Default 2025 Topps Heritage...

I have opened around 4-5 blaster cases so far (40 boxes per) and if you got 9 variations in a single box of 8 packs then you have a severe 1 in a million outlier and congrats!!!

I've never seen so many in a retail break, my initial thoughts were maybe they are far more common then I think

I averaged about 3-4 per 20-box mega case so it took me 80 mega boxes to even get 15.

One popped up this morning on EBay and I was able to grab it with a Best Offer of 80% of the BIN.

Still are four reds available.....

Feels like some sellers are starting to get antsy....was able to pick up four cards I wanted this morning, all with Best Offers of 60-80% of the BIN.

Expected my offers to get countered, but none were....

After pulling a Mike Schmidt red ink auto I got the itch to order some more from Topps. Picked up a few more mega boxes a 2 more hobby boxes.

I’ve only opened the megas, but I pulled. Johnny Bench red ink auto. These are the two cards I wanted most from the set and I still can’t believe I actually pulled them both.

What you describe is not unprecedented, but by chance are you considering the various border colors to be “variants” too?

Anybody else having local stock issues of this set now? Yesterday and even this past week most GameStops within 100 miles of me had plenty of stock. Today only 2 stores have stock currently. Not sure where the sudden popularity came from all of a sudden near me.

I’m hoping that someone here can help clarify something. Today I bought and opened several 2025 Heritage mega boxes and, on a whim, grabbed two hanger boxes. While sorting the cards later I noticed that the back of a Tyler O’Neil was awfully shiny, while the front had a matte texture. I thought flip stock was hobby only???

So I happened to find a second flip stock, then a third. All of a sudden there were a total of 63 flip stock-ish cards. All with smooth shiny backs and matte fronts. I’m guessing the two hangers are where they came from. Has this ever happened before? Is someone playing a joke on me? Did I miss something??

Anyway, one picture is of all 63. The other photo is the backs of the two supposed flip stock Ohtani’s (!) along with a regular base as a comparison. I’m hoping someone has answers and can clear this up. There’s no way this really happened, right? List of all 63 cards is below. Lots of doubles and some stars. No major rookies.

2x Jackson Chourio
Matt Strahm
Jacob Wilson RC
Nolan Gorman
Kris Bryant
2x Aroldis Chapman
Jazz Chisholm Jr
Andrew Heaney

^^^ not unprecedented.

I forget what year but it’s within the past five years and there were a few cases overflowing with flip stock cards.

2019 heritage high. I recall there were more than 5 Flipstock of Eloy Jimenez. 2024 heritage. Some cases had 1 Flipstock per pack.

Interesting. If what happened in 2019 has also happened in 2025… All of the base cards in those two hangers were flip stock, and they ended up in retail as well. Looks like a big mistake by Topps here.

Your photo of the card backs doesn't look like flip stocks, but it could just be the quality of the photo.

The problem with Heritage is there is a lot of variance in card texture. I have base cards that have very bold, pronounced backs with a shinier finish and others that are washed out and the print is blurry. But I know they are not flip stock. It's just different types of paper.

A true flip stock is unmistakable. If you put a true flip stock in a stack of 500 base you will be able to see the flip stock instantly from the backside. It's not just shinier, but glossier, almost like a regular Series 1 base card. I checked eBay listings this morning and there are a lot of cards listed as flip stock that aren't. I'm not saying this is the case for you, but definitely be aware that there are different colors and textures within the base set itself. People who aren't familiar with Heritage confuse this all the time.

I hope in your case they are legit, but again, the photos you sent are hard to tell. I'm not seeing enough to conclude that those are flip.
