Default 2025 Topps NFL releases April 1st

Weird that no threads have been made on theu news. Topps will release licensed cards or the 2025 nfl season as soon as the license kicks in April 1st.

I wonder what it happens to the value of paninis cards in the fall

Given that April 2025 is past, safe to assume he meant April 2026 releases with 2025 class rookies.

Apparently holding all 2025 releases to next April so they can be licensed.

I asked that very same question in another thread, and am happy to see it answered.

My hope is that by the 2026 season, they get more current with their releases.

Since that will be two months after the Super Bowl, right around Opening Day, right before the NBA and NHL playoffs, and a couple of months before the World Cup, I can't think that there would be much interest in football cards at that point.

They mind as well skip straight to the 2026 products....

Agree, by then all of the 2025 RCs will suck and no one will care about those products when the chase for Archie is on.

They are making plenty of cards this April/May so obviously someone is interested.

This is Topps (Fanatics), and they'll do whatever makes $$$.

Look at all the 2024 no license, no logo, no teams nonsense they keep selling.

The late 2025 Topps will backfire on them... partially timing, but mainly the 2025 RCs are duds (for cards).

I accept this if it means they stop with the unlicensed stuff until then but I don’t feel strongly they’re going to do that. But seems like a perfect time to go all in on their University products.

You literally quoted someone who said "2026 bud." and you responded "No topps confirmed that 2025 class will release in April . This was reported by everyone who was there."

So as long suspected, there are no licensed rookie autos of 2023 rookies like Stroud, and 2024 rookies like Jayden Daniels, Bo nix.

If you want rookie autos of them then unlicensed is the only way

I'm sure once they get the license in hand. They will release an Archives set, with Retro Rookie autos from past years.

The hobby will consider them to be not "true" RC. But they will still outsell the actual in season airbrush junk out there now.

Seems like a big miss on Topp's part.

Should've just gone another year without licenses. Far too late for the 2025 class.

It doesn’t look like they have the exclusives to carry products this year. Skattebo and McMillan are probably the best and they aren’t going to make people want to go buy unlicensed just to get them.

2021 prizm didn't come out until June 2022 and select didn't hit until august but plenty of people were interested. The 2025 class is a dud though.

Random trivia that most people forget (or don't care about). There was one set issued by Panini while they still had licenses that included live autos of the 2023 rookie class (including Stroud), but it had them in college unis because it was a draft product. 2023 Chronicles Draft. Issued right before they lost the rights to all the 2023 Fanatics exclusive guys.

Looking for Andre Dawson Serial numbered cards that are his jersey number - either #8 or #10. So looking for cards like 8/8 or 08/99 or 10/250.

Precisely ^^^

If Fanatics/ Topps had the best rooks, they'd do 2025 unlicensed crap in-season again... but they don't.

They're doing whatever makes $$ and gets buys.
It's gonna be a loooong 20 years of Fanatics NFL license. I'm not excited.

Interesting there’s no mention of flagship topps? Maybe they’ll hold off until 2026 for it. Overall the mark will be incredibly saturated on 2025 stuff which will not be exciting

I bet it comes back in 2027. Topps Resurgence looks like it may take its place for 2026.

So all 6 of those products mentioned will be for the 2025 season (although at time of release the season is long over) and will ALL release BEFORE the 2026 products start up in the Fall of 2026 (including Topps flagship?).

Didn't Fanatics/Topps do the same with Bowman? Didn't two years' worth of BUC release twice in the same year?
