The promo and the skewed card below it (it's sitting behind 2 layers of sleeves, hence it looks more faint...it's still fainter than the end result...but...!)

Wow thanks- don’t think I’ve ever seen the skewed card itself before, outside the uncut sheet. Glad I started this thread, learning about some new stuff!

Sorry I was thinking promo promo promo but of course that was just the base card above it.

Just to keep one of my favorite sets going, I do have a 2nd sheet of the 1995 Fleer Ultra X-Men All Chromium, except there's a difference - the framed one is a post-production sheet, with front and back and what you'd get as the cards after cutting. This one, however, is fully colored yet semi-transparent! It's essentially an acetate!

Amazing sheet. First one I’ve seen….no clue what it is but an intermediate stage of the production process is plausible.

Is true there are two different common versions of the Chromium sheet? (Outside your rare acetate sheet). One with the promos, one without? Because I keep seeing this one on ebay which looks like a normal 95 X-Men Chromium sheet but without the promos.

https://ebay.com/itm/303658604121

And it seems more common than the promos-included sheet from brief observations

Also I don’t think this was posted yet. I used to have one but sold many ages ago, unfortunately. Someone got a total steal on the below, it was sold on eBay in Feb for $300…. sigh. Most examples of this sheet you find will be signed by both Greg and Tim.

I can't imagine there are that many people self-cutting the promos off for display-ability, but I also don't think they produced 2 separate sheets. My best guess is that they cut the promos off at some part of the process, enough to the point where it is discernible in the population.

I avoid the non-promos out of OCD

As for the acetate one - I had it on my radar for a long while after realizing the distinction, but it was at a price point that I didn't like (450-500?). I tried to make a deal with the seller but he was pretty adamant on the price, was just waiting for the right buyer. Many many months later I saw that the price was lowered to 350 and I jumped.

That would be me! A few years ago the last one I was tracking eventually sold, I think also in the 4-500 range. Of course I was sad that it finally went, but I was much earlier in my uncut sheet journey so I didn't feel compelled to get it, especially at that price (I think sheets were in the 75-150 range at the time). Fast forward and I got the grail holofoils, and given their dual signed state, I jumped immediately when I saw this one listed.

Lucky you! Ok in that case I’m not down about the sale then, going to someone with such a collecting passion for uncut sheets as you. That’ll fittingly go next to the 94 Hildbrandt Holofoil sheets. You’re right a few years ago they were going for $400-500. I would put the current value at least $500 (given I would have paid over that myself). Great deal!

Thank you, I appreciate that! Right place, right time! I wish I was that more. Every once in a while I do some uncut sheet browsing and end up feeling down super bad for missing out on some opportunities...

That's the X-Men Hildebrandt set that was also issued as a Marvel Press poster.
I had at least one of them when I acquired the large dealer back-stock of posters about 15 years ago, but I think I sold it back when.
In retrospect, I probably should've held on to it. It really is a terrific image by two masters at the top of their game.

Beautiful items, gentlemen.
Congrats on your collections!

I picked up my MM24 Uncut Base Sheet from the framing shop today. I love it! Now to move things around to make room for it.

Congrats! I really like the frame job, very sleek black framing all around, really highlights the sheet itself. Do you have any intentions of getting the other 2 sheets?

Thanks!
Doubt I get the other versions. I haven't figured out where I'm putting this one.

2022 Marvel Masterpieces Variant Cover

Sadly this sheet was cut into 2 pieces - it is an issue with every version of the Variant Cover sheets (as far as we know based off of the number of people who showed them)

1990 Impel Marvel Universe Series I Base Set

I think there's 1 or 2 other sheets, but I'm grateful I have one with Stan Lee + Checklist on it!

2023 Fleer Ultra Wolverine Base

You could get this through an ePack achievement. A VERY nice sheet - quality art and at a very low price point! (~120-175).

1995 Fleer Ultra Spider-Man Base Set - Pre-Foil Press Giveaway!

This was a mail-away offer, I want to say for people to turn in used foil wrappers + a small amount of money. The sheet is mid-production, with the foil layering not applied yet. It's cool in that you get to see some of the art pieces w/o any trade dressing.
