Dallas are screwed.

I like their balance when Kyrie gets back.

But they are not in their prime anymore and will continue to miss 20 games per season. They would need AD to get to Giannis level and he never has.

Sad times for the Dallas fan base

Whose Dallas? That isn't even an organization anymore in my opinion until Nico is gone. An organization that values someone like him is not an organization that wants to better themselves let alone win

Trade AD for Luka.... just to get eliminated in the first round.

WTF.... LeBron has Luka as a teammate... he clearly needs more. Lakers need Giannis, Curry and Wemby to make it past the 1st round of playoffs.

Stupid Lakers management... thinking Luka was enough for LeGM. When will they learn??

Will JJ survive if Lakers lose the series 4-1?

I kept telling my friends I don't think this dallas trade is as bad as the media were making it out to be

luka has a player option 26/27. Could you imagine if he left the lakers and the "biggest trade in nba history" ended like that

That said...I think he would be foolish to switch teams at this point

He will eventually win a ring in a Laker uniform. Just not with his current supporting staff.

0 defense. No sense of urgency in an elimination game. All of a sudden LeBron and Luka cry they are hurt

Lakers rolled over and died like dogs

Just downright awful

Didn’t work.

I mean, LeBron is 40. He literally had the greatest season of any 40 year old ever.

What was Luka's excuse?

What a shame Luka has to carry a 40 year old carcass around that is all about himself. The Lakers sure could use that $60 million elsewhere.

Redick also was outcoached. He has a lot to learn.

Luka needs to make lay ups under contact and not worry about the soft calls that just aren't there.

Yep. Luka was in the Finals last year with Kyrie and PJ Washington. He then had Lebron as his #2 and had a better #3 in Reaves, and he loses in the 1st round this year against a team he beat last year... It's not rocket science to see.

We've seen. They're trash.

I wonder how many times LeBron exited via a 1st round gentleman sweep in his prime. Answer - zero. And go take a look at those rosters when they got a 2nd round boot - oof.

Doncic is in the wilderness right now. He's in his peak, peak (age 25-30) with no MVP's, no rings, and a team that is 2 years out from contention in the best of scenarios. The Lakers have a lot of work to do.

Lively and Gafford were more important than PJ. They were a middling team until they got Gafford to pair with the rookie, Lively, and their team took off. How the Lakers thought they could get away without a big man patrolling both sides of the paint is beyond me. JJ showed he's more of a podcaster than an NBA coach in this series. He's got a lot of studying to do.

Rocket science: what is the term used for the strategy of trying to harm your opponent on every play.

Is it really that surprising the Lakers lost?

1. Lebron is 40--he was brilliant at times in this series, and can bring it in spurts, but the end is near for him

2. Luka: out of shape and can't play defense to save his life. When I think of overrated players in the NBA today, Luka comes to mind first

3. No real big men and no true guards: The Lakers have neither. I'm surprised people thought they were going to make noise in the playoffs. I knew this was going to be a tough series for them. Edwards cooked them the other night and Gobert cooked them last night.

He's probably glad his season is over so he can go pound some beers.

They needed a big guy with a decent inside out game and a defensive presence.

I wonder if they could trade for AD?

That whole “he failed the physical” thing sure looks bad now.

After failing the physical 14.9 ppg/10.8 rpg. It’s not a great year to need a center, don’t have enough money for Turner, and most of the rest aren’t great fits.
