i feel that if anything, the overhyping of 24HHN lead to people spending more on 2025 than they should

I mean 24 HHN Checklist > 25 Heritage Checklist
end of discussion.

If you're making that statement based on the rookie checklists, then it's WAY too early to draw any conclusions. You've probably got to wait 3-4 years to evaluate any rookie class.

There have been a LOT of guys who have had great first years and then faded (Hoskins, Alonso, Robert, J. Rodriguez, etc.), and a lot of guys who have had meh first years and then blossomed (Witt, Skubal, etc.).

And 2025 has a lot better HOFer/retired player content than 2024 HHN.

I opened a value box today!
Now, no autos or relics, but I got some cool cards.
Let me know if anyone wants to know what I got.

I would definitely buy the product again!
Thanks Topps

Ordered 2 hobby boxes and 2 megas from Topps. Like the design but hit nothing exciting and decided I wasn’t going to buy anymore. Stopped by my lcs for supplies and he had one hobby box left. Decided to buy it and pulled a Mike Schmidt red ink auto.

First time posting here. I usually only care about the Heritage releases every year because the vintage designs are cool, along with the variations and real one autos. My only real goal is ripping until a complete base set is completed. Anything extra is sold to help offset the costs. In 2024 I ripped only two hobby boxes and found a Carlton Fisk auto and mystery auto redemption (Ohtani red /75). This year no hobby boxes, but have opened four megas and eight blasters. The first I ripped from this year were two preordered mega boxes, and the very first pack had a Chourio red auto /76 (already sold). Halfway through the same box I found an Ohtani flipped bat variation. Second box had a Machado image variation. Continuing with the theme, I opened two more mega boxes on Sunday and the very first pack had a Jackson Holliday red auto /76. And a blue auto of Jim Palmer and two separate dual relics from blasters. Not a lot of ripping but great results.

An interesting note is that none of the variations from blasters were flipped backwards. And cartoon variations are only identifiable by memorizing the common cartoons or checking the code. Take extra care in examining the cards

-Real One red auto /76: Jackson Chourio, Jackson Holliday
-Real One Blue auto: Jim Palmer
-Dual Player Relic: Julio Rodriguez/Randy Arozarena
-Single player dual relic: Justin Verlander
-Flipped bat variation: Ohtani
-Cartoon variation: William Contreras
-Image variation: Manny Machado, Drew Thorpe
-Notable chrome: Dylan Crews silver sparkle
-Chrome Blue Refractor /150: Nolan Gorman
-Red border: Luisangel Acuna
-Bicentennial /200: Christopher Morel, Jordan Lawlar
-Holographic player icons: Tarik Skubal
-Holographic Through the years: Pujols
-Redefined:Trout, Ohtani
-25th Anniversary: Bobby Witt, Luisangel Acuna

I wasn't going to do Heritage this year but this thread has talked me into it. Nice to see that retail SKUs are actually good for Heritage now. I thought HH# would be a one-off in terms of strong retail, but I was wrong. Have 60 mega boxes waiting at home for me.

Just opened two boxes of 25 Heritage. My kid got confused by the diamonds before he saw what it was. It just didn’t look like Heritage. Then, the Mike Trout came out in the first pack of the second box. We stared at it for a while wondering why it was so thick. Then, he saw the 1/1 on it. Definitely not expecting that out of Heritage.

Anybody have any clue how many of the Hidden Gems of each card exist?

Be careful if you are buying any Alternate Cartoon Variations. A LOT of sellers are listing the base as variations. I noticed this when looking up some of the ones I pulled. Topps probably should have labeled them but they didn't, and the door has opened to many ignorant buyers and sellers.

I noticed when I looked to see if my Witt was a regular, code is 332 but is extremely hard to see on some of them. A few people were selling regular base for like 60 bucks. It’s a huge pain in a$$.

great pulls guys. I have opened a lot of each format and have a ton more to likely open of retail skus....if anyone has inserts to sell/trade, i have nearly unlimited SPs available. I still need quite a few HOF blue autos to keep my complete string since 2001 intact (not-so-humble brag).

Jim, have you seen a Brett Real One auto (of any color) or a Bench Blue Ink?

I'm wondering if this is going to be another year like 2016, where many of the HOFers Blue Ink autos were SSP's with lower print runs than their red ink autos.

The very last pack of my last Mega box in my case yielded this Buyback Auto. Pretty sweet pull looking at the odds sheet.

I haven’t seen a Brett but I think a bench was sold on eBay.
