Gabriel is basically a poor man's Tua without the injury issues...

is it collusion if all the teams that interviewed him came to the same conclusion on their own? bc it sure seems like that’s what happened. teams that need a qb passing 3+ times means he’s not on their board. bc you wouldn’t pass on him unless you have him as like a 4th rounder, in which case you aren’t taking the circus that’ll come with him. just pick a guard or whatever |

Sanders to the 4th round didn't see this one. Even Barkley had an the excuse of an injury...

Gabriel is smallish, but he makes all the throws (poor man Tua is great comp) and did it on a GOOD team with a tough schedule. Sanders has no mobility, and he played on a bad team with an easy schedule. Both are developmental QBs with holes.... I'd prefer the one who has actually played in some big games and beaten some good teams. Shedeur hasn't dont that. Probably Kyle McCord... no joke. |

At this point could Sanders realistically go undrafted? Seems like most teams that needed a project or backup already got theirs, so why waste draft capital in late rounds?
There's probably more to this story that will come out eventually (I.e. did Deion tell him to tank interviews with certain teams, etc). |

I'm loving the slide. The reports of him giving the worst interview ever from a team source clearly has to hold some weight.
He was reported to be entitled, and his being a nepo-baby who probably isn't as good. But the diva attitude he probably displayed turned teams off. I mean the Giants are as desperate as anyone and they aggressively moved up for Dart over Sanders. The Browns have Kenny Pickett and Joe Flacco, and the Deshaun disaster and still passed on him. The Raiders are a great fit because Geno is only a 2-year contract extension, so he could easily sit and take over. But what other teams are in position to even want to take him? I would imagine a lot of teams don't want the Deion circus if he's drafted to be a clear backup. Use the Bengals for example. He would probably be a good backup in their system behind Burrow, but they wouldn't want someone with that big personality and media circus around them I would imagine. Just a hypothetical, but teams with clear Number 1 QBs want quiet projects as backups (Howard, McCord types now) not Shedeur's act

Very good chance he goes undrafted. At this point it’s not even about perceived value, it’s about no front office or locker room wanting to deal with a potential major distraction that could really undermine/unnerve the QB room and/or the coaching staff.

NFL teams have overlooked way worse intangibles/character issues for less talent.
The risk in taking him today is very low. A lot of 4th-6th rounders don't even make teams. Draft him and if he comes in loafing with an attitude, just cut him. If he shows out, then you have a cheap backup for a few years. So if he goes undrafted, that would really be shocking.

Shedeur will get drafted today, guys, calm down.
He was a mid/late rounds talent all along. Stats were highly inflated at a low level football CU school (and before that, a HBC school more famous for band than football). The league has thugs, rapists, hothead, grade school education level adults. All of the QBs this 2025 year had holes. It was a weird QB year. I'm still amazed Cam Ward went #1 overall... no way in 90% of drafts. |

You guys think teams missed this, from September?
"Sanders joked that he'd follow in the footsteps of prior draft situations such as Eli Manning, LaVar Ball and LeBron James during an appearance on the Nightcap show with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson (30:45 mark). "Honestly, we've talked about it extensively," Sanders explained. "I talk to a multitude of teams at practice every day, but I want what's best for him. I want him to be happy as well. You really don't get to dictate where your son gets to go because there's a draft process, but you know us. You know how we are, we know who ain't trying to win in the NFL. You know who's consistently in the basement year after year after year. You don't want that situation for your kid or your family members. Nobody, none of them. So we know what time it is." As many have stated, he's closer to an average talent than a guy who moves the needle for a team. Is that worth even the risk of the headache before the 4th round at the absolute earliest? Nope. We have NOT had a situation exactly like this before in the NFL: where you had a 2nd generation guy with all the publicity but talent that didn't stack up to it. This is not like Archie and Eli Manning. The Chargers/Giants took the risk because Eli was worth (remember 2004? it was like last year's NFL draft for QBs) that risk. Shedeur, quite simply, is not (he was only ranked higher because this QB class is so lackluster. Cam freaking Ward at #1 indeed). And the risk is Lavar Ball-ian.
