Greg Cosell was just on the radio locally and said Jeanty would be picked after Bijan Robinson in the same draft (I agree with him)

He's going to be good. He's probably going to go to Jacksonville at #5

But the hyperbole about this dude is getting out of control

100% agreed. I do think he will be a good player, borderline great if he goes into the right system. But things have gotta out of control with his hype...

Jeanty and Bijan are totally different styles of RB.
Just look at their builds and 40 times and tape.

Jeanty is great between tackles, good power. He can do impressive volume, wear down defenses a la King Henry.
Bijan is a catch guy, speed guy but won't be tearing up the gut or taking 25+ carrries very well or very often.
Jeanty will seldom take a swing pass to the house untouched. He's a bruiser with legs than keep churning.
Bijan can hit homeruns, but he might not be in the game on 3rd-and-1, or 4th-and-1.

So Bijan is the better prospect... makes sense

Thanks

You do realize there are 133 teams in FBS college ball, and that Jeanty played only 4 games against top-75 defenses in 2024? Seven of those games were against defenses ranked 90 or worse? You play the schedule you're given, but to not consider his stats given his opposition is crazy talk. Yes, Robinson and Jeanty are different specimens, but Robinson was more rightfully hyped pre-draft given his measurables and performance against power 5 comp. And for the record, I don't recall the term "generational" thrown out for Robinson.

Still nope.

...I have a job, casual fan, but you can pretty easily watch highlights and see a solid player. I suppose it's a good thing hours of internet and tv don't necessarily equate to knowing a lot, eh?

Enjoy your stats.

Stats can be manipulated to fit a narrative...but at the end of the day the whole body of work doesn't lie. He'll be a fine player, I've stated that and don't doubt it, but "generational"? Pfft...

You enjoy your highlights!

Just Field Yates throwing stuff against the wall... but he just posted on ESPN a mock trade for #33 and #104 for #29

Browns take Hunter and Sanders

Sign me up for that

Browns walk away tonight with those 2 and still have 67, 94, and 6 other later picks

I don't necessarily love the "teammate" thing, and as much fun as it is to have #33 tomorrow night to make it interesting, that's a trade I wouldn't turn down

Also just to be clear as it's ESPN+ so not everyone can see it... Ward and Sanders are the only two QB's to go

So in theory, you wouldn't necessarily know this in real life, you could get Dart at #33 and keep #104

I'm just not a Dart guy

If Ward is the 7th best QB in 2024 (I'll say 6th as JJ McCarthy is going to suck) that makes Dart the 8th or 9th best QB in 2024 depending on McCarthy, Sanders, and any other QB (Shough) that you might value more

Bijan is the better player. Jeanty played at blue field Boise State. We'll see how he adjusts at the pro level.

Sometimes I start to type a reply, realize it’s not as clever as I initially thought, and delete it.

Houston gets: 179 overall (6th round), 216th overall (6th round) and 255th overall (7th round)

The moment we've all be waiting for:
When Travis Hunter is selected, will Hunter Sr whip out a big Santa bag of drugs and start throwing baggies to the crowd in attendance? Never know, never know...

Yep, correct.

People have recall bias to fit their narrative/argument at any given time.
All Day, Bijan, others were viewed as immensely talented.

Travis Hunter did something bad to you that we don’t know about.
