People have been saying that for a week. Apparently a decent number of teams don’t give him a first round grade. I hope he falls to Pittsburgh and they take him, so they are screwed for years.

What are the odds Giants trade back to 5 or 6 to whichever team doesn't want to risk missing out on Jeanty? Are the extra picks that would come with that worth the risk of possibly not still getting Carter?

No way the Giants can bluff anyone in Jeanty after the Barkley debacle. They will take Carter and like it Now should teams call New England? Absolutely Because Jeanty is going to be paired with Lawrence

This is exactly what stopped me in my tracks. Penn State Barkley was by FAR the most complete back to come out of college since Adrian Peterson. Jeanty is no Barkley. He got fat against Mountain West defenses, Barkley had to play 8-9 games a year against the Big 10. And arguing for Jeanty as a pass catcher? Barkley had 20 more receptions in college in less games.

I said it in February. Sanders has bust written all over him... widely known before he skipped the combine. |

Someone trades late into the 1st round to grab Sanders. I still think he goes 1st round, but it doesn't appear he's going In the top ten like it seemed for the past 2 months.

Want to know why you have an 8:30 appointment but don’t see the doctor until 10:00?

Some rumblings that the Broncos are going to move up.
To me, they would likely be targeting for 1 of 3 players/positions: Jeanty, Hunter, or Tyler Warren/Colston Loveland. Because they just signed Engram, they can afford to take a TE later, although I'd love to see them grab either of those TEs. That makes me think if they move up, that they are going after Jeanty of Hunter. They'd need to offer a lot to reach Jeanty, and a whole lot to get to Hunter. Picking Jeanty keeps him from landing with your opponent; the Raiders, and gives you an instant running game. Picking Hunter and pairing him with Surtain is instant shut down for opponents passing game, then in a deep RB draft you can get a RB say rd 3 But pick #20 is no mans land. It's not a great place to be. If you are a player away from a deep playoff run, move up and sell out to get that player, or trade back and pick up a lot more draft capital. If there is smoke to the fire and Denver can get Jeanty or Hunter, WOW they will be a force. Last edited by Floridacardguy; 04-23-2025 at 07:41 PM. |

Also, Jags may move up to #2- is that to ensure they get Jeanty, or do they want Hunter?
Jags could package Etienne AND draft pick(s) to land Jeanty. Huge leg up over the Broncos who have no RB to offer Last edited by Floridacardguy; 04-23-2025 at 07:45 PM. |

etienne has no real (trade) value. The idea that throwing etienne in a trade gives a team a 'huge leg up' is crazy.....

FCG thinks he knows football, but it's more miss than hit. RBs have almost no trade value outside the top 5... and even they have fairly little. Everyone knows this. |

Latest and I think last ESPN Mock Draft has Cleveland trading up late into Round 1 and taking Shedeur in the late 20s...
Hunter and Shedeur back together again, in Cleveland... How long til Deion gets offered the HC job if that happens

So many hurt feelings in every thread.
I make no predictions. My hope is the Niners get productive starters and future starters in rounds 1-5. No big swings, please. Just guys that can play.

To be fair, no one would have considered Saquon a generational back from 2018-2023.

I like how you included 2018 in there when he amassed 2,000+ scrimmage yards and 15 touchdowns as a rookie.

And who knows what we'll think of Jeanty in 7 years? If you have a strong memory, or are a Big 10 or PSU fan, you'll remember how touted Barkley was. And if you watched him play, you believed it. Regardless of what happens/happened in the pros, you're only in the draft once. To say Barkley wasn't a generational talent prior to the 2018 draft is pure ignorance.
