Thanks man. Funny thing is, I never cared about the TT Canseco until very recently. I grew up obsessing over the Donruss because it was THE card when I started collecting. I’ve been reevaluating how I collect now that I’m older and the Donruss is just a lame headshot with a forgettable design. I much prefer the TT because of the pose and colors

Also picked up a companion piece for it. Next up is gonna be an 85 Fleer or Topps Rickey

Found a box of the Topps Celebration Box at Kroger. Ripped with son and we got a big head Gunner gold /50!

This is a knock on PSA and not the rainbow, as I quite like the idea of a junk wax rainbow: that Tiffany centering is really stretching the definition of a 10.

Yeah, no arguement here. PSA was very generous with that 10.

For the atrocious centering that PSA still let slip to meet their quota…?! Good catch, I think

Thanks guys. I might be obsessed with finishing the Frank Robinson Venny run (then will probably do Pete Rose).

That's certainly an impressive run. I'd be over the moon to find the '68 Ryan...but those (like of the Venny's) are so tough to find.

Grabbed the Ruth Bat to go alongside the jersey card from the same set...

upload photo search

Finally found the 2005 Topps Finest Green Xfractor /50 after years of hunting! Won it for .58 cents under my max bid so way to close to missing out on it. Moved a couple of my Murphy PC autos to help find it but happy to have it. Only the gold Refractor and Xfractor left to find for the non 1/1 rainbow lol.

Frank Robinson obviously much easier than Pete. Frank only has 3 true base cards, 1964, 1966 and 1967...and then a few league leader cards. Pete Rose I think had more, plus there's the Rookie Cup which is a big dollar card,

Yeah, I saw a couple of the 64 Rose at Strongsville. It's definitely on my radar. Had I not snagged that Concepcion I would have bought one of them.

Also in the short bit of time that I have been paying attention to these, the popular has gone up quite a bit. I don't think they were that short printed and given how much they have shot up in price, I think people who have access to them, especially in VZ are bringing a lot more to market.

Had to travel to San Diego for work and I always try to find a sports card shop in the area. I purchased these two at Supreme Card Shop. Had to pay the San Diego tax on the Merrill, but I didn't have any decent cards of his. The Ryan is numbered to 5 and part of my more than 2000 card PC of his.
