Yeah… it does look bleak fellas. Maybe if Eflin and Grod get healthy and stay healthy our rotation can turn the corner, but it’s shaping up to be a loooooong season. Last year the Orioles benefited from a hot start.
Meanwhile the Splash Zone is looking like it overstayed its welcome. It was fun for 2023 when we were winning but looks out of place when we are playing .400 ball and not hitting. |

Last season O's fans were saying "When Means and Wells come back...", then they both got hurt again. And even then, the O's were something along the lines of top 5 in ERA from their starters. This year, the O's rotation is dead last in ERA. Elias should be fired for this past offseason alone and the current rotation alone. It's absolute GM incompetence. Nevermind that he's never done enough to help the team any of the past 3 trade deadlines or offseasons. Or that he constantly screws over the prospects he drafted himself. |

Should we start worrying about Jordan Westburg? He is batting .175 and hasn’t had a hit since April 6th.

I feel like the Charlie Morton experiment should be over by now.

The experiment never should have begun. They're going to probably be sellers at the deadline now...which means, they'll trade Mullins, Sugano and Eflin for some crappy minor leaguers, then they won't sign anybody in the offseason and bank on the young guys. Elias is soooo frustrating. He was a great GM to rebuild but a crappy GM to take a team over the top. Hyde: great rebuilding manager, crappy manager to take a team over the top.

I’m a massive analytics guy. My brother writes algorithms to predict outcomes of sporting events. I have a masters in AI and build companies processing massive amounts of data to improve outcomes. What Hyde is doing isn’t even analytical driven. His decisions make no senses from any perspective I could reasonably defend. It’s getting farcical at this point and the last time I spoke with Elias last fall I did not get any more confident about his decision making process…

I feel like the Orioles organization is infatuated with 2023 and are going “all in” on their narrative that they can build a championship from within. They can’t. The people they drafted as a result of their high draft picks from their lean years are not enough to build a World Series champion.
The players might be great friends that all came up together but they are not playing like great ball players. You can’t “splash zone” away all of the teams shortcomings and the fact the Orioles expanded the 2023 splash zone to two sections in 2025 and made it a permanent fixture is a bad sign. They watered down the benefits of the season ticket holder plans while acquiring sub par talent like Charlie Morton who has a 10+ ERA through 5 starts. They could expand the splash zone to ALL sections of Camden Yards… heck… make it an extension of the Baltimore Aquarium and that still wouldn’t wash away how horrible the team is. They suck. |

Looks like MASN is finally letting local people stream Orioles games through their app… https://www.masnsports.com/component...ion?Itemid=197
They probably would have had more subscribers had they offered the option prior to the start of the season. It’s still a good move on their part to modernize. |

Nice to see Sugano pitch 7 innings in last two starts. He settled down nicely after giving up the early runs. It was a winnable game if our bats could have made one or two more timely hits.
