Not sure if anyone else has experienced this but throwing it out there as maybe something to watch for.
I am the buyer. Item price is $150. Seller made a seller offer of $125…I countered at $115. Last night I got a notification from the eBay app that seller accepted my counter. I clicked that notification, and it said something like seller accepted your $115 offer, please confirm your payment to make sure it’s yours. I clicked on that and it took me to the payment info checkout screen. I admittedly just selected my payment info at that point without 1000% checking what the numbers were (since I already knew it would be for $115+shipping). Lo and behold the payment that went through was for $150+ shipping, the full price. Whatever eBay is doing here- it is ridiculous. The seller was very understanding and honored the offer price after all of it. First time that happened to me. But good idea to double and triple check the price after accepted offers just to make sure. It could be an app issue

This actually just happened to me as well as the seller. Refunded the buyer the difference, but it was the exact situation you describe.

That is what my seller did as well- refund the difference post-sale. Good to have understanding sellers in this situation. eBay needs to fix whatever this is asap.

This just happened to me as a seller. I had a card listed for $15, sent an offer for $10, got countered for $7, I then accepted. It was one of those orders that didn't show up as awaiting payment, meaning my listing was still active(another dumb thing ebay started doing), even though I accepted the counteroffer. Fast forward to payment and it was for $15. Yeah Ebay better fix this ASAP.
