Amazing how many super rare cards you've been able to track down lately!

If you come across Larkins, please let me know.

Couple fun April pickups for me

1998 Donruss Significant Signatures Ted Williams Unreleased SP - This pair came out of a Playoff exec's collection. I managed to pick up both a numbered copy out of /100 and an unnumbered damage replacement copy. Wish they were signed but they support my theory that Significant Signatures was supposed to be a tiered SP set like several other Donruss releases from 1998.

I also snagged what I believe is the first card of the Titanic that specifically pictures the Titanic and is titled as such with the 1925 Duncan & Co Steamships of Evolution Titanic. There is a 1911 Cadbury White Star liners issue that many consider the Titanic "rookie" if you will but it mentions both the Titanic and Olympic and has a generic image.

I also had Tanner Jones hook me up with a serious glow up of a really, really grubby JSA certed Willie Mays postcard.

I like these, a lot, contemplated going for the set when they came out but I don't collect hard enough to compete with prospectors.

I am the only idiot that would send a card like that to CGC as well. I just wanted to make sure the card didn't have a serious issue and felt safer just getting it graded. I didn't want to pay the PSA fees to grade a card and for $18 it was worth it to me. Hopefully they didn't put the card in a baggy inside the slab. Hopefully it shows on COMC soon!

Congrats, seems like no serious issues on it then! Really cool seeing a modern card right next to that vintage one. Been watching lots of vintage videos on YouTube and It’s like a different world.

If I hadn't spent so much money these past few months I might have taken a shot at that one. That was actually the 2nd card I named as a grail to my coworker and it popped up on eBay the next day.

Picked up some cool stuff from my local card show today. The Coupon backs are all from the find discussed in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QK4cyXBu8Kc

Just appeared in my COMC inventory! I am so happy that it is not in the stupid plastic sleeve. PSA grading would have been stupid expensive for this card. Still looking for a decent price on the Target Red and would love a Hope Diamond /60 if I could get it under $1K.

How does the back look? 1967 is one of my favorite years since the backs are in Spanish and we’re also decidedly the most bootleg version of Venezuelan Topps.

Back is super clean for a Venezuelan. That line on the bottom left is glare on the one touch.

Ronnie’s auto is so awesome on his 1st Bowmans. I haven’t been following the market on those too much. Is the price down on them?

Oh yah, that's a great back. I have all of the Frank Robinson Vennys and am happy that while my 1967 has a corroded corner that the back is clean and all text is legible.
