I had to pick this one up once I saw it. It goes well with the rookie cup.

Quiet start to the year, but feels like he's one breakout game or series away from it being solid overall.

Almost had it there.

Should we be concerned with Soto, Lindor, Yordan, Treat and Semien as well?

Bobby isn’t some roided-up HR basher. He’s had a very solid start to his season.

people seem to think that baseball is like football and basketball.
it isnt. lets "check the stats" in september.

the other sports play half and 10% the number of games that baseball does

i see this a lot on twitter.

I wouldn't call it very solid (by his standards and the ones we're all expecting this year), but I wouldn't be that concerned yet either.

Like I mentioned, the results don't look great so far, but he's a solid week or real solid series away from them being at an all-star level. He is hitting a lot of doubles, which is good. Would just love to see him north of .300 if the home runs aren't coming.

No, but I feel like taking 25 or so game chunks (equivalent to about a month) can start to tell a story. It certainly tells a story of last July vs last September.

Bobby is fine. Who else has 6 2Bs , 1 3B, 1 Hr? Just for numbers.

It's super early into the season, but if we're going to have any concerns, it'd have to be for the overall KCR offense.

There's only a couple non-Witt Jr starters with "respectable" (enough) BAs and OBPs (mostly those in the latter half of the lineup).

This has all sorts of implications for Witt Jr because it means less opportunities to drive players in, score, and more easily be pitched around (Vinnie and Saldvador are both batting sub .200 right now).

Until others start hitting (or getting on-base more), particularly those batting around Bobby in the lineup, he'll find it a little more difficult to produce.

Also, for what it's worth, he only hit 3 HRs in April last year. He ended up with a lot more though

Truth. In fact, one season means nothing in the grand scheme. So, a couple of weeks means even less. If he started the season on fire hitting .400 with 8 bombs, and then did this in July, no one would even notice. Today, he did exactly what we needed him to do...knock in the winning run. Meanwhile...

29/26 to go!

Hahaha! After today's game, he's batting .200 (before, it was .196 but .196/.213, they're basically the same :P).

Yep, it’s a game of streaks. Homers and hits usually happen in bunches. The droughts are just as real.
