Going to the game Friday night against the Blackhawks as I wanted to see Bedard anyway but this makes it a lot more exciting.

Read this morning that at the pace he's going, he should break the record against the Islanders on April 15th.

I'm sure the league would love if he slowed down a little bit and did it against Sid the Kid and Pitttsburgh on the 17th.

Other than the Chicago game on Friday, he doesn't play anybody "sexy" team wise until Pittsburgh... It's all Carolina, Islanders and Columbus...

I took advantage of eBay's 50% off fees for cards over $1000 and sold my Ovi Young Guns PSA 8...

I'll take the proceeds and hopefully upgrade to a 9 after the season/at The National...

Smart plan. The best thing about the FOMO post-COVID era is following the hype-induced uptick, there is not only a downward correction, but quite often a card will end up below where it was before the hype began. Is this a hard and fast rule? Of course not, but it has steered me very well, as has following the principle that 95% of non-GOAT type players will never see their cards rebound to the hype time frame, making so if you think it is time to sell, it probably is, and leaving a few extra bucks on the table by not timing it to the exact peak is a lot better than holding too long.

Probably a poor take on my part, but being that the playoffs are right around the corner, I'd sit him every away game (minus the Penguins game)...

Get him some rest and let him get the record at home or against Pittsburgh.

Woulda been great if he had got the record last night, but major props to him for not wanting it to be an empty netter...

I would love to see the Caps do that but no way that happens. The uproar in the Islanders game would be massive as the cheapest seat is around $500 but imo that is the risk you take when you buy a ticket. Like to see him break it Tuesday at home and then rest him.

So you're just gonna assume he scores vs the Penguins? And when he doesn't, we have to wait the entire off-season for him to break it. Needs to take every chance he can.

Even if they went the route i suggested, which i know isn't gonna happen, it would still give him 3 games this year to get the record...

He's scored at least one goal in the last 4 games.... And before that, he was averaging one goal every 3 games this season...

I'd rather just see him get it at home or against Pittsburgh than some meaningless 1st period goal in Long Island/Columbus/Carolina....
