I mean, it went from 87k to 81k in a short period over 2 days this week but it is up over $500 for the week. I got in on some more very close to the weekly low.

Maybe it’s “we reserve the right to charge for uneaten food”

The amount of money you have in your bank account, stocks or under your mattress wont matter if and when SHTF. It is coming!

It’s not the end of the world. Statements like this show why the world is the way it is. Nothing but fear mongering over everything.

Even conservative economists are saying that these tariffs are “dumb” and bad for the economy. History tells us the same thing.

I mean, It’s not the “end of the world” because what is?! But it certainly isn’t good for anyone involved.

There’s way more reason to be concerned than any Qanon, right wing nutty conspiracy theory.

So the tariffs other countries have on us is bad for them? The economists in other countries are wrong?

I’m completely fine with it. If prices are high, just don't buy the stuff.

All these countries have issued tariffs, is the entire world economy going to collapse? I guess we’ll all be back to farming in no time.

What a sight it will be, scores of men, many still wearing their favorite sports team jersey, yoked in teams of three, pulling plows along the rows!

Oh, so you’re really into free trade then? You must have hated it when trump backed us out of the free trade Asia pact his first term.

If you don’t know the difference between a small country levying tariffs and the biggest economy of the world doing it, I don’t know what to tell you

You do understand EVERYTHING will get more expensive?

Are you and that other guy the same person? Sure sounds like it.

And you chose not to respond to the fact that economists are saying this is a terrible/dumb policy. Interesting. Maybe you’re smarter than all of them?

Anyway, I can see this is a no critical thinking zone. I’ll let you have at it

I get prices on everything will go up. Other than gas, it doesn’t affect me. I was born poor, so I know how to make do without stuff. Food wise, this is the PERFECT time of the year for grocery prices to go up. Farmer’s markets are kicking off. Fresh fruits, vegetables, and meat cheaper than store bought. I don’t really shop at stores anyway unless I really need something.

Tough times just mean you get creative. It’s not going to change the plans I have for the next few months. I’ve got a list of investment properties I’m looking at buying in the next 90-120 days, I just put an offer in on one yesterday. My business and life goes on regardless of the economy. Only difference is I might throw even more into the markets if trends keep moving down.

Did I say anything about free trade? I was happy with President Trump pulling out of the TTP trade deal. Anything offshoring American jobs is not what I want. So it is ok for small countries to levy tariffs to protect their countries jobs, but not ok for the United States to do the same?

Just to keep sane, remind yourself the kind of degens we have in this hobby
when you're seeing responses here excusing or downplaying this moronic and imminently disastrous tariff policy. Anyone who leads with "well, it won't hurt me" exposes their character immediately.

Tanking the economy on a fantasy they hope will come true should not be applauded or shrugged off.

Do you believe in God and do you think he speaks to us? You don't have to answer, the question is rhetorical.

I believe in the WAY, the TRUTH, the LIFE. He has opened my eyes.

The rest of you can pretend to be religious, patriotic or whatever you tell yourselves to sleep better at night.

I am neither blue, red or left or right. I only have one master and I will never serve or worship another (much less a simple mortal!)

God Bless!

This.

Prior to the internet, crazies didn’t have a worldwide platform to spew nonsense. They were relegated to their momma’s basement.
