Looking like we challenge the 20 day today. Can start to get an idea if this is the C wave of a corrective wave up, or the third wave of a fresh bull run.
Although I still stand by what I previously said, I also acknowledge that it depends on one's time frame.

Short-term, there'll be a lot of fluctuations (as previously mentioned). One can make (or lose) a lot if they know how to play the market, I'm not one of those people.

Mid-term, I expect the market to retract as bad news/events actually take place (also, as previously mentioned). It might take a little time to get there but we're on our way (especially if the mass RIF of federal employee goes through).

Long-term, stock market will be fine as always.

I'm a believer of the stock market, I have multiple retirement accounts. I'm just one who also seeks a lot of bang for buck. I don't need the most (peak) bang for buck but I do want some bang for buck.

On a side note, I just opened a 529 for one of my kids (on 3/14) and set up monthly deposits for it. It's funny because, although I seek a lot of bang for buck with cash that I transfer into my own retirement accounts, I'm OK with letting my kid's 529 ride out the wave (I suppose it's because I prefer to be as hands off as possible [don't want to manage another account] and it's a long-term play).

Only if you are investing for the short-term should you be concerned with finding the best (or close to the best) entry point. Otherwise, it just doesn’t matter. You will win in the long term if you invest in good companies.

I mostly agree with you, but if I know I can get more shares (of a given company) if I wait a little bit, it's hard not to wait.

But you're right, in the long-term, it won't matter much (at least based on the amount I'd be throwing into the market).

AAPL is very much on sale after hours. Some good bargains if you know what to look for.

I think I will deploy the rest of my cash in my Roth to stocks (haven’t decided which… prob NVDA) and rebalance my 401k.

Bought NVDA and AMZN so far. TSLA isn’t even at yesterday’s lows. 10 year might break 4% today.

Unhappy

Looking at the reaction in the markets today, why exactly did the market rally after election night?

The market gets what it wants, finds out what it got, and then no longer wants it. (rinse and repeat).

Bought NVDA and BYDDF. And added a small amount to a handful of other positions. I also dropped out of a few of my lottery ticket stocks as I think my money today was better spent in quality stocks.

Even did a 401k move moving a chunk from Fixed to the large cap S&P 500 fund.

Sold NVDA at $138 earlier this year. Have been loading up on AMZN. I am loving the fire sale.

I’m also in on the AMZN fire sale. Going to potentially add AAPL and NVDA shortly on another down down day. May just add QQQ

VIX just hit 45. Some big names hitting oversold on the daily and weekly RSI. Not saying it will be, but this is more capitulation than yesterday.

I added some NVDA this morning as well. I’m running out of cash in my Roth though.
