2024 Allen Ginter X is probably the only 2024 baseball hobby product that hasn't increased in value during 2025. It's worth the same or less than when it came out.

Boxes retailed at $150 and the most recent eBay sales are around $260-280

They were selling for $275-$300 on ebay the day they released if I recall correctly. That was ages ago now. No other 2024 Topps Baseball hobby product I can think of that is still selling for around the same price or less than the first day it was available. Everything 2024 is up across the board in 2025. Except this product.

The last one on eBay sold for $280 just 2 days ago. Original price on Topps was $149.99. Are you saying they haven’t increased in price after that ? That might be correct, but still selling at well above initial price.

I’m sure 2025 will be $199.99 at a minimum. More likely higher (like $249.99)

Can you people read? The very first thing I said was that Allen Ginter X was the only Topps Baseball hobby product to not increase in value in 2025. What was it selling for January 1st of 2025? The same as now. What was it selling for 1 day after selling out on Topps website at $150? It was actually probably higher than now but for your argument's sake let's say it's still the same price.

I ripped almost all 2024 Topps baseball products and A&G X was far and away the best.

I will say I am not pleased with it going down to 12 packs per box along with the higher price.

If it was like last year, with like 2 autos in 5 out of every 6 boxes, it may still be worth it.

But it looks pretty crappy at this point.

[Fanatics Jerk Higher-Up 1]: We're a couple of months behind and it's now January 2026, but shouldn't we still release 2025 Allen & Ginter X? It seems to be one of the more beloved online-only baseball card releases in the Topps brand.

[Fanatics Jerk Higher-Up 2]: I think we can still release it, but the 2024 version was too consumer-friendly. Why did we think it was a good idea to throw in bonus autographs in most boxes? We were just throwing away money. We definitely need to scrap that concept. Hell, let's just "forget" to even include autos at all in 10% of the boxes and most of the idiot consumers won't even know how to make a complaint. More money for us!

[Fanatics Jerk Higher-Up 1]: I like how you're thinking, but there is still too much meat on the bone for possible resellers. If we increase presale prices by $30/box and cut the number of cards provided per box by 1/3, I think we will ensure that Fanatics is the only one that can make any money on this product. 2024 A&G X was about $1.04 per card and 2025 A&G X will be about $1.88 per card.

[Fanatics Jerk Higher-Up 2]: Agreed! And on the presale we can just just make a few boxes and no cases available and all of the idiot consumers will think this product is scarce... that way we can jack up prices even higher for the 2026 release!

My gut is that Rubin does not intend to hold Topps for an indefinite amount of time. PE will eventually plan to flip this.

What? Man, all of the great products just being watered down and/or destroyed. A&G X has been my absolute favorite every year (outside of SC) but now I am feeling a lot more lukewarm about it. Bleh.

First year I’m passing on this product since inception. What they’ve likely done is kept the print run the same but increased the boxes by reducing the packs per. I think the days of getting closer to 1.5-1.7 autos than 1 auto per box is done.
