You get an email confirmation if you win.

Unfortunately, you don't get an email if you lose.

As someone who usually gets a case of each per year, the case I opened was load compared to the others in the past. 9 autos! I now understand the price hike.

Agreed, it looks to be significantly better this year (low bar to clear). Would be a fun rip at ~$100. Easy pass anywhere close to $200.

Could it be that there is value in opening the blasters?

In bulk there is (case wise). If you're opening 1 or 2 here and there, don't expect much.

2023 Platinum Anniversary blasters were better than hobby, no doubt about it.

Usually not, I agree. In this case with Minis and the extra parallels and chance for autos etc this seems to be a solid value in quantity at $25 a pop. I wouldn't pay the $45 the big 3 wants, but 25 seems very safe.

Just an absolute shame how so many people here are throwing money at this when you know any quality card you pull is going to look like this:

For the first decade of Topps making a Chrome variant to the Heritage set, I never, not once saw a surface flaw on any Heritage card. Today, you might as well roll these through concrete. A complete disgrace.

But degens will degen.

To be fair, you asked the question and examples were provided.

One doesn't need a doctoral degree to understand that ripping wax in high volume, especially at today's prices, is an easy way to lose money. This product is no exception.

With that said, the product has demand and people will rip it regardless. And as certain configurations reach/surpass certain price-points, other configurations might look to offer better (or at least good) value (while available at a given price-point).

Hobby boxes will mostly be ripped by those who got in at MSRP or group breakers.
Retail boxes will mostly be ripped by those who weren't able to score hobby boxes at MSRP and/or unable to comfortably spend $225+ per hobby box (group breakers might even target retail boxes after a certain point).
