I've noticed recently on most auctions I bid on that I tend to be the second place bidder to an account with 10k+ feedback. Only seems to happen on graded cards. My assumption is that it's repack buyers but I guess it's possible random people have 20, 30k feedback
I mean it's good they ate driving up things to a degree but still annoying none the less. Anyone have experience with repackers buying up your cards for sale? |

If it's paid and no case opened, I could care less if they make another grand off of it or not. To OP's point, I do feel like there's more repackaged product, in general, with today's wax situation. But I have no real data behind that, just my feeling.

To the point of who cares what a buyer does with a card after they bought - I agree 100%.
As far as repacked product, I would say at least half of the card shops I have been to over the past couple of months are doing it. I see it at shows as well. The gambling junkies need their fix and this is just another way to get it. |

Not so sure about that., don’t most repackers purchase in bulk? Kind of defeats the purpose to buy single cards here and there, gets more expensive.

Ultra-modern cards are following the structure of NFT's. For a card to be valuable, it needs to have utility. Mystery boxes prop up card prices and now Topps is doing buybacks. Another way to give card utility.

We underestimate how many different collectors there are in the world. Specifically in the US.
There are tons of dealers with disposable income who bid on everything. Many times they win, and they've been doing this for years way before the Boom. That feedback is going to get into very high numbers. Cards are a hobby for some, but for others it's life. |

The repackers in question aren't buying bulk cards. They are buying graded and high-value singles. Much easier to declare their "floor of X, ceiling of Y"
