here is the link to the sale of the Curry 3/50 TC gold refractor. Monster card for sure. No idea on the 3/99 NT, all of this stuff is way above my pay grade.

If its just one card I wouldn't think that much of a difference in value. If selling in a lot and there’s a bunch with same serial number then I can see a bit of a premium. Jersey #, first/last will always be ahead of other numbers.

I think it depends on the card. Jersey # will always be king. And I know for some issues like 2003 Exquisite, first # is a huge deal. I don’t know many collectors who are into last number. Curry is kinda a unique player because he’s one of the few players where a stat # has become closely tied to him. Like 81 with Kobe. So for curry, I would rather have 3/## than any other number than perhaps his jersey 30/##. Even when Harden passed Reggie the other night, the conversation quickly transitioned to Curry and his perpetual 3-point record. It’s inevitable that his name will be brought up in any discussion of 3-point shooting from now to forever.

No matter how much you push your "friends" narrative, it's just not a thing. No one gives a crap.

My friend def got me into it, but I’m not trying to push anything. Judging from this thread, there are some other people here who appreciate it. Focusing on special numbering makes collecting more fun for me because it makes the hunt more challenging and I like the way the serial numbering looks. And I think this is true for a lot of collectors.

well I think it’s a cool idea and find myself looking for 3/ when I do my curry card searches. I mean why not, especially if it’s the same price as other numbers.

Anyone here land this? Curry’s 2012 Prizm 3/10 Gold. This couldn’t have been on ebay for more than a hot minute. What a crazy card!

It's a stretch, but would pay a very slight premium for a 3.

Ebay takes 13%. A 200k card would be 26k in fees.

They take 13% of the first $2500 and then roughly 2.5% of anything after that, so the fees on a sale that big would be under 3%.

I searched and it looks like they may have bumped up the 13% to the first $7500 and 2.35% after that. If you had a store they used to have limits. Not sure if thats changed.

If the digital crypto NFT users start coming into the physical card world, First, Jersey # and Last will boom. Those 3 serial numbers carry a huge multiplier in the NFT world. They call the Last numbered something like "perfect" 500/500, 1250/1250 .

Still think it’s $2500+ for sports cards luckily. Here’s the breakdown from a sale I made last week

This hobby is weird. Jersey number was already silly but now any number that relates to a player. I’m only collecting Kobe’s 32/XX Since his two jersey numbers totaled that. Just nonsense but people are dumb and hate money. So awesome.

Don't think it's dumb at all for paying a little extra for a differentiating condition of a card.

MC Sportscards has Curry's 03/31 Exquisite Gold rookie on the bay. It is selling above my pay grade, so I'm out. Gorgeous and rare card.
