Set is gonna be super-fun for quality issues lol
That's two of the roughest box breaks I've seen in a while. Unless those base cards end up selling for $5 each raw, with the dings and damage, this set was a doomed release.

Okayish idea that was badly executed. The two cards per pack falls under "things no one asked for but got anyway".

It's really wild when case hits like EX-Ceptional are an obvious shape anyone smart shouldn't buy loose packs. Given the price if I owned an LCS I'd be annoyed that single packs will be a hard sell when that's one way most places get rid of product sitting other than breaks.

I watched a box break. I like the look of the cards, but no way I'll pay the crazy price they ask for a box. I'll probably trade for a few base cards, I really like the look of them!

Shocking my store didn't have any packs for sale lol if it was more than two cards it'd be a good pack product with only two numbered per box instead of buying a box, plus on a pack basis as others have said the cards look cool so you may not mind if you get a base or base rookie of someone good.

I'll give some credit instead of all-hate, I like the Autographics, simple clean look and I'm glad it seems to be all on-card, as stickers would kill the product. If Ultimate/Premier/Cup autos are ridiculously higher I think a Bedard autographics would be a nice rookie auto option. None of the inserts really impress me but some of the parallels/different coloring on base cards do look good, especially gold.

Good idea, awful execution, atrocious price point. Seems par for the course for UD these days.

The breaks were all brutal even if it were $100 cheaper.

No matter what was in this or which price point, the quality control was always going to be a killer.

A bit disappointed with this :/

The Big hits are super cool, autos are awesome, base/parallels look amazing but idk everything seems impossible to pull. All of the boxes Ive seen opened nothing great comes out lol. It seems everyone just pulls 2 #d cards #d > 50. A majority of card collectors know the deal when it comes to breaking you wont make money 99% on what you open, which is fine but I like walking away with feeling like I got something that is remotely cool

I see what they were going for with 2 cards per pack for throwback purposes but obvious ways to pack search, damage control etc.

Could have done without all the parallels imo. It's not true to the original credentials /499. I could see adding maybe 1 or 2 low numbered versions, like /50 and 1/1, but that's it.

You know it's bad when breakers like GP can't even fake it enough to spin that it was somehow a good break and guys like Zeeree open pne box and seemingly move on. If he doesn't do 1000 packs or something I can't remember the last time Zeeree opened a singular box of a product.

I was excited for this and within a day when I watched the usual suspects break I didn't really care anymore.

Zeeree had the same reaction to Allure this year. Can't all be winners I guess.

Yeah I saw that video too, honestly didn't know about all the changes and influenced me to stay away. Only diff is he did open two boxes, I respect he gives more than a one box sample but here given the price even he prob couldn't justify it. Maybe he'll open more but I'd assume it'll be in a month or so when it's prob justifiably gone down in price.

I think I'd take Allure over this though still anyday, the premium of on-card autos doesn't make up for the fact Allure is one auto per or a case-hit basically and a few numbered cards on each side but I prefer the chrome.

I opened a bit of Allure and was not thrilled compared to prior years, but still better than this if for no other reason than QC.

If this gets down to $100/box or less I may try one because the design is interesting. Just need to be prepared that anything decent may have serious condition issues.

The gold IS def nice, I think that's pretty universal though, I don't know any product where people hate the Golds lol it's a good color for cards.

The golds are nice but how many will even come close to covering the box price? Even breaks are brutal. I hit a blue Ovi and the one sale doesn’t even cover a $35 break spot…

Ive picked up some cheap base cards and a few parallels. Nice looking cards and nostalgic as I used to collect basketball in the 90s. Box breaks have been brutal... singles are definitely the way to go.

I agree, only the top guys will command top dollars, and the commons will only be worth a few bucks on auctions.

I pulled the Hertl from a box and picked up a lot from eBay, ranging from 5 bucks to over 100 for a top rookie.

I do say though, these are definite sleeper, falling in only 2 per case, and from what I have seen, not affected by production issue. I think a lot of of players collector will look for them down the line.

I picked up 2 of the Double Helix case his (McDavid & Bedard) and the one-every-two-cases E-xceptional of MacKinnon. I gotta say they are really nice in-hand - the pictures don't do justice. But in total it was < $400 all-in for all 3 - arguably among the biggest hits in the product - so it really highlights how low the price would need to be to buy boxes of this. Easily < $100 for me, and probably < $75.

Also shows how much Bedard has fallen, it's still rookie year even now I would of thought a case-hit would of went for near that alone.

I was bookmarking $65/box for this to pick some up to open, may never get there. But I think that is where the value is for this one.
