Question on CD

Some years ago my wife bought a mixed collection at a estate sale. This Item has us stumped It looks like a mini cd, the artist is Love Hewitt , Songs Dancing Queen/ I'll Find You. Is in English with some Japanese writing and marked sample not for sale. Sorry no scan, anybody know what this is.

Looks like this I'm sure. Mini discs were a thing at one point I kind of remember

Thanks it looks a lot like the one I have. I don't remember them at all. Were they from the same time as the movie lp discs?
