I have seen February 26th as the release date. There is no way that I will pay 300+Cad for a whole box, but I might pick a pack in a card shop out of curiosity.

This looks cool! Some of the inserts are fire and the autos have a timeless look

2 cards per pack, 24 packs, is an odd # of cards per pack, packs per box, for a set of what appears to be normal sized cards.

Historically, those base cards are really thick multilayer cards with acetate all over.

Only 4 autos per case and the two big chase inserts are 1 per 6 and 1 per 12 cases unless I'm missing something? Hard to believe that over half the boxes will only have parallels as a chase?

Looks like the chase inserts are 1 per case and 1 per 2 cases, the all access RCs are 1/case and autos 3-4ish per case.


So yeah.... lots of dud boxes with common inserts and 2 parallels

Would rather pay $150 more for Premier which doesn't have Bedard tax and get guaranteed mem/autos and hit won't be a random base parallel /299. This and Stature would of killed if released during his actual rookie season so of course the geniuses wait to release both of them way too late lol

At DA it's $230 USD for 23-24 Premier vs $210 for EX. I looked at the Premier checklist yesterday - very solid with no one missing that I could see

I was speaking on 24-25 the site I was on had it for pre-order beside EX that's why I brought it up, also think it was in CAD. That's even more ridiculous though and I'd buy 23-24 Premier in a heartbeat, I just assumed being Bedard year it would still have insane tax but its a high possibility of doing ok even without Bedard at that price. People were paying that + more for S2 lol you are getting multiple guaranteed hits here.

Ultimate is sitting at around 150 a box for preorder, Id rather that than EX as well, I think.

The thing is I think this is a cool set, the issue is cool or not I realized new or revived brands don't get much love (Allure anyone?) and people want the established stuff. The "shiny new toy" concept works better for licenses changing hands than new sets lol add in cost which trickles down to more expensive singles and it's gonna be difficult to gain momentum.

There's ton of Engrained sitting at my LCS for the same reason, too expensive and people don't care about the brand much so why spend more and have to charge more for singles people don't even seek out.

Gotta love the notable disappointment in breaker's voices as they realize how tough a sell this is gonna be. $300 for a /299 and /99, buy now!

some of the inserts look nice and the /99 parallel has that nice foil etching to it. Cards will be brutal to grade and the overall value doesnt look to be there.

Oof.

Quality control on the die cuts look really bad, and the base had some issues. Value for money (different from ROI to me) is nowhere near worth even trying a box to me.

Quality control is all on UD, if GP was correct which assuming he was (don't know original set much) just because the old set was two cards a pack you don't have to adhere to history by sacrificing quality. Four cards a pack with inserts/hits in the middle would probably of solved a lot of problems. I considered buying some pack of this as I don't think my store was breaking and I def wasn't buying a box, but now even that doesn't make sense to get two cards lol possible quality issues and I'm sure it won't take long or be hard at all with two cards to find certain hits/inserts as they are all different shapes

Should be, just looked and e-pack odds are listed on checklist.
