Was set up as a vendor for the weekend at a nice show in San Diego. I saw one 2018 Ohtani Auto all weekend, and it wasn't for sale haha. Plenty of non Rookie Sho autos for sale, just an observation. Lots of compliments on my Ohtani showcase but only sold I think 4 Ohtani slabs over the 2 days, most people said they were priced out. The 4 that sold weren't even RCs so it was strange but not complaining. Made more selling random pokemon singles from my old binders.
Many comments from Ohtani collectors that they didn't even bring their Ohtani RC autos to the show. (I didn't either

Most people have caught on by now that good Shohei stuff is about as Blue Chip as you can get.

Also he's getting a Fortnite skin now!?

I dropped an Ohtani rookie auto off at a consignor the other day. He pleaded with me to let them get it graded first, I declined and went on my normal diatribe about grading. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't grading only going to be worth it if it's a 10 (which he feels it might be). But don't like 9's fetch basically the same as raw? Plus if it does grade well don't they charge a bunch of extra money on some arbitrary value they pull out of their a**?

selling raw 2018 Ohtani Autos in 2025 is a red flag that something is wrong with it, or it was already rejected by a TPG

then add in that a consignor is selling it? huge red flag

So what you're telling me is I screwed up even more by removing it from the top loader with the Topps redemption sticker because I didn't like how they didn't put the sticker on straight?

na, that sticker is not taken seriously. they are easy to remove and replace
