I don't even think it's a pride thing. I think it's more about wanting to be more involved with your teammates. Being a full-time DH would be boring, you spend 90% of the game in the dugout.

Add an ‘h’ to the end of the image. Like this: xxxxxx.jpg becomes xxxxxxh.jpg

Sounds like Vlady offered the Jays $600/14 and they passed. Seems almost certain he’ll he playing for another team next year.

He better put up another .320 35HR 6+WAR season first. Can’t say Toronto is wrong to see if he can put back to back great seasons together first.

I agree that I think it sounds high, but I feel like someone will pay it. At least the yearly average. 14 years is a looooong commitment to a player of his size.

I’m a Mets fan and I don’t see Cohen/Stearns offering him what was mentioned above. Maybe some desperate team will, but that’s a heck of a lot of years and money for a right handed first baseman who is destined to be a DH at some point.

He's one of the worst defensive 1B and the Mets already have one of the worst defensive 3B in Vientos. Vladdy you're paying for 4-6 years and then after around age 32 all bets are off.
