Default Xavier Worthy arrested

This doesn't sound like it will turn out well.

Former Texas star WR and Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy was arrested Friday Night in Williamson County, TX.

Charges: Criminal charge of assault against a family or household member by impeding their breathing or circulation.

Oh no, I liked this kid too. Chiefs just can't catch a break with these WRs.
Then again, maybe case falls apart, or there are no legs to it.

It won't affect the Chiefs at all. They have proven that they don't need star WRs to succeed.

Veterans will line up to play there (JuJu, Hopkins and so on) for championship chances. They will be able to fill out complimentary players and still win 14 games

Mahomes is not getting any younger, nor will Kelce. It has been steady decline these past 2 years despite the W-L

"Doesn't sound like it will turn out well"?
That's drama queen stuff by OP and the article over a website line. It's not even picked up by any other major news/sports. There is no info here whatsoever.

'Williamson County, Texas online records show that the alleged incident happened on Friday. Here’s the charge: “ASSAULT FAM/HOUSE MEM IMPEDE BREATH/CIRCULAT.” '

But yes, tell us what else the crystal ball shows... lol.

...This is as likely to be a simple issue dropped charges +/- payoff as anything the team/league will even look at.

There are people in the HOF who committed murder. I wouldn't raise alarms over something that'll probably get dismissed.

Denial is the first step. You're defending someone who's choking his SO. I guess everyone has their own moral compass

Choking is among the biggest predictors of spousal/partner murder. A person committing strangulation is 750% more likely to kill their partner than they were before.

https://www.ottawapolice.ca/en/news/...perts-say.aspx

>A person who has suffered a non-fatal strangulation incident with their intimate partner is 750% more likely to be killed by the same offender.

Cant believe someone here actually defending him, what a POS

It's been picked up by other sites. ESPN just ran it.

Link would be appreciated... it's not on the football page ESPN or KCC page there (or anywhere).

A screenshot is typically not a 'story'... there'd be details, police interview, witness, etc.

You'll be on acceptance and grief phase soon. Then you'll get over it. But, please dont defend someone whose choking or strangulate others. It's different than just normal domestic violence, it's a massive red flag (as if DV is not enough red flag)

That would be rather cool since his father was drafted by them in 1997. Anyone else remember Kevin Lockett?

He said "ESPN just ran it"?

What you guys are posting are just little Texas news outlets parrot-backing what the police blotter said.

...I would just say wait for more info or a legit story with info and detail. That's all.

NFL dudes get in bar fights or accused of stuff by dates or gfs or even exes from way back every single weekend.
That's nothing new. They are target$ for obviou$ rea$on$. Sometimes it's legit, sometimes it's BS... usually it's a bit of both.
That stuff tends to be 95% chance to be nothing legally or in terms of team/league consequences, though.

Implication from what I read is he choked out his fiance and is in jail with no bail. Don't try to defend this scumbag.

Yes, and you read a one-line copy/paste "story."

Can you say it wasn't that he was accused of fighting with at a sibling at a birthday?
Can you say he didn't headlock a boyfriend and he's closet gay?
Maybe he headlocked a cousin at backyard football and they didn't appreciate it?
Can you say he didn't push his parent away when they asked him for money and they called 911 to "show him"?

The point is that you don't know what you don't know.
Let it play out. This stuff is uber common: accusations - some unfounded, some later proven.
There is no info here. Maybe some will arrive, maybe he'll bail out and charges drop immediately. You simply do not know.

Cliche is "Every person you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about."
But that is 100x for people who are rich and/or high profile $$ targets. Many false accusations there.
It is quite easy for broke basic single guy Joe Blow to sit in his PJs on Saturday morning and assume what famous NFL guy XYZ and his gf/wife/etc are doing on Friday night, lol.

ESPN put up the Worthy arrest story now, but only because they have to... it has zero info, just like the others. (but ESPN's is fairly well written, at least)
It's anything from a Jeff Gladney to a nothingburger for now. Probably the latter. Nobody knows.
There will probably be a real story on ESPN or somewhere credible with detail or attorney or police comments by Monday, and then we'll know more. That is all.
