Meanwhile, this is his response:

We lost? Oh well our players just didn't play hard enough. Not my fault. Basketball gods got us. It'd be nice to have Anthony Edwards on my team.

This is three separate interviews he's talking like this, and there are plenty more on top of these.

Lack of effort is one thing, maybe in a game or two the players lack the requisite "effort" to win, but every loss? Every loss they're not playing hard enough to win? Is the expectation that they give 110% every game? If the players need to give maximum effort in order to win each game they play, that's an issue of strategy, not effort. The coach's job is to put each player in the best position to succeed, maximizing the effort to results ratio. If the players are putting in max effort and not getting results, that's a sign that the coach isn't playing them correctly.

The other worrying aspect is he doesn't seem to recognize it either. He's got "his guys" in the building and from what I've heard the front office isn't looking for anyone that can help him out on the offensive side, which he desperately needs because he obviously doesn't know what he's doing on that end.
Funny how bad he looks when he doesn't have 2 of the top 20 players in the league on his team.

I saw that little postgamer with Udoka after loss to Indy. What he failed to mention was that it's revenge for never playing Double A in Boston.

Pacers not playing around in Atlanta, though Haliburton out.

Talking more about the quality of intriguing matchups in the midrange. Obviously the conference is very top heavy, but the rest will be hard to call.

We'll see how ya'lls bracketology plays out this year. EZer said than done, champ.

Pels always serve as a nice bounceback spot for spiraling squads.

Houston did a good job throttling Vandross.

Nice job moving Eason to the starting 5. They need all the perimeter help they can get.

The Lakers were paying good value this game, they are a little short manned, they have a loss coming soon surely.

Ny might get them

I'm not seeing any big injuries on LA's side.

2.5 point spread doesn't give good value on NY. Not sure why Vegas thinks this is close considering how bad they've been playing recently. But Lakers are due. I'm not touching it tonight though.

I think they win tonight, not by a lot but comfortably.

I think the correction comes in the road trip. 6 games in 8 days.

If they win tonight, it will be 10 straight wins against teams above .500

The one where he switched angles mid-air and basically dunked around the defender was absolutely nuts

Yeah I didn't realize Reaves was back. I'd say with him and Rui out they would struggle over time.

But anyway, just one of those games where things might align for an upset.

Lakers looking good though

Knicks hanging tough. Seems like since Lulu came on board, LA's resiliency in the 2nd half (when they always give up leads) holds up and they hang on.

Nice call, DRob.

Barring some super weird ish, Knicks look like they're going to cover, at minimum.

Terrible play call. Brunson took 7 seconds off the clock.

Still don't know how people watch this Laker team and don't put them in the top tier teams. The whole team plays to win every game. Going to be an incredibly tough out.

Bro, how many times are you going to post this? We get it. We all get it!

The League, floundering in the doldrums, somehow gifted the Lakers a generational talent and its transformed them into a legitimate contender.

The most inexplicable trade in American sports history. There isn't a single above average basketball mind that would approve this trade on the Dallas end so how could it have possibly happened?
