Default Joel Embiid out of the season

One of the biggest "What ifs". Start of "The Process" and yet couldn't get past 2nd round. His body is failing him

Even when his body isn't failing him, he's painful to watch.

You know, maybe he shouldn't have played in the Olympics.

No doubt, went from amazing talent to free throw merchant. What's worse is he didnt really need it but he still chose to do it

Ha ha, I am still amazed how someone 7 foot and almost 300 pounds is on the floor so often. Especially in a era with less bigs and physicality. Flopped a lot for sure. Hopefully he can get right enough to play 50 games a season going forward.

how? he got player option of 69m on 2029. Nobody in the league is touching that. Sixers have 2 of the active contract (Embiid and PG)

Nobody is sad

Sixer fans are top 3 annoying too so at least we don't have to hear them talk about Embiid anymore

That is high liklihood. I hope the 76ers are stuck with contract. Fitting end to all the years of tanking and "the process".

Embiid going down as this generation's Walton. Walton was pretty much done at this same age.

At least Walton got 2 rings, including one Finals MVP.

Sadly, his body has failed him. He was the best player in the NBA for 2.5 years until he needed another meniscus surgery last year. Should have been shut down months ago.

Gold medalist, keyed the comeback in the 4th against Serbia with a personal 7-0 run and a block of Jokic, without him the USA doesn't even make the Finals.

I can't really blame him for the disappearing act that Simmons, Harden, and Tobias did annually in the playoffs. Crazy to think he just put up 50 on the Knicks less than a year ago on one leg.

Probably the best 76er of my lifetime. More skilled than Moses. Much better defender than Iverson, Doc and Barkley.

Now we just need to win the Cooper Flagg lottery!

It’s a shame.

I hope Wemby doesn’t follow this same career path.

Health is the reason I was reluctant to buy any Wemby cards, but I didn't expect a blood clot to be the reason he missed time.

At least with blood clot it's Binary. Etiher he's good to go or he's out due to reoccuring of the clot. With Embiid you always had hope everytime he played just to be crushed months later. I'm sure sixers fans would be more relieved if he just announces to hang it up than continue playing as is

Will never understand why Philly threw a max extension at him after watching him look bad in the olympics and show he wasn't healthy.
