This is some far out hyperbole. The fourth down stop was super close and in no way conclusive from multiple replays.

It was a super common "close call." We're not talking about the tuck rule or that Rams Saints call here--not even close. It's really hard for the officials to spot the ball down to the inch on that type of play. When the ball carrier ends up pushed back and is down clearly short and his case rests on maybe like an inch or two of forward progress for a split second... well 90+% of the time the defense gets rewarded on that type of play.

I don't even know what this other alleged controversial call was. I remember a bad PI call on McDuffie that shouldve been OPI if anything. Goes to show how so many have fallen for this ridiculous narrative.

I'm thinking out loud here. I went to two small card shows in florida this weekend, zero Mahomes rookies graded or ungraded. Almost every (non Mahomes) card at these shows is on ebay, so its not like these cards at these shows are unique or hard to find. Where are all the Mahomes cards? At least put them out there for a higher price than ebay just in case an old-school person who hates buying stuff online (me) wants to do an in person transaction. CASUALS will pay more for stuff they see in front of them instead of online, and not everyone trusts $500+ items in the USPS. Its also Mahomes its not just any other card, people shop differently with him because he holds his value different.
If I did find a Mahomes card for my PC I probably wouldnt have negotiated as hard because its nice just finding one in person to see and touch before buying. That in itself has value.

I'm not talking about the $20k Mahomes cards here. Mostly his low-end uniformed stuff they printed a lot of.

Yep. If all the call were switched for the teams, the general public would be claiming it was rigged due to missed face masks and a terrible DPI call. There'd be no talk on the 4th down spot.

How many of these so called "close calls" went the way to the chiefs and how many went against them?

Anyways back to real Mahomes collector discussions...

Think the Chiefs add any more offensive weapons for Mahomes this off season? If so who do you want to add?

Sign a serviceable left tackle , draft the best RB available
Resign Hollywood and somehow get Metcalf

New RB with speed, metcalf, Brown, worthy, rice and Kelce would do wonders

They need to sort out the Oline, first and foremost.

With Kelce coming back, next order of business is finding another WR who can play at a high level at least until Rashee is back.

Finally, getting someone serviceable at running back, in case Pacheco never returns to form.

Agree with all of this but why not hang on to Hunt? He filled in great last year.

Kareem did admirable this year. He picked up a lot of key first downs. He also averaged only 3.6 YPC and his longest run of the year was 20 yards. We need a gamebreaker at RB.

So guys, what do you think about signing Davante? I think I would take him over Hopkins and Brown. Not sure what he would cost and whether we would have to commit to more than a year. Gives him shot at a ring

Yes. Enough of Pacheco as lead back. Hunt is fine back up. Neither are RB1

Davante is very old and he's VERY psychologically frail.

A guy who follows Aaron Rodgers like a puppy?
A guy who goes to a team because David friggin Carr is the QB?
A guy who quit on the Raiders 2024 midseason? Cmon.
... you want that mess as a team who has been to 5 of the last 6 SBs? No.

If you have a decent OL, Mahomes can do the rest. Bonus if you have a run game. We've seen it time and time again. Hollywood + Xavier + Kelce is fine (Rice when able). Worthy got much stronger as the season went on. It's the same with most HOF level QBs... WRs help, but the QBs make it happen.

This is a deep draft for RBs in 2025. KC can get OL, RB, WR, and whatever else. Pacheco got back from the ankle fracture with little rehab time, but I'm sure they'll get a mid/late round RB as Perine and Hunt are old and Carson Steele is pathetic (probably camp roster cuts candidate).

...Davante Adams can go rot on Cleveland or Pats whoever is dumb enough to pay him at his age 32 season - turns 33 before 2025 season ends. I'm sure the momma's boy will wait to see where Aaron Rodgers goes... and then sign there.

I’m sick of mahomes not having any talent around him..the past two seasons been bad..yes they won the SB a year ago but that speaks to Mahomes greatness and chiefs defense…he gets no pass from critics/media playing with below average guys (both rice / worthy was rookies, Kelce has been showing his age)…it’s time to bring in some actual talent..especially at the RB position…never been a fan of Pacheco..he seems to always run right into his Oline or into the defense..at least Hunt finds holes in the defense to run through…but hunt was lacking alot in the post season and later in the season…when I see the bills have Cook or eagles with Saquon, ravens when Henry, it gets me jealous..at least get a RB that is decent to help open up the pass game …I want to see a high powered offense again

Chiefs fans: Travis Kelce is the best tight end in the history of the NFL.

Also Chiefs fans: I’m sick of mahomes not having any talent around him.

Yep, you put Mahomes on the Vikings or Seahawks or Lions (maybe even Bengals or Falcons or Iggles), and you probably have a 6500yd and 60td season... but there's a salary cap.

I forgot to mention guys like Sky Moore and Justin Watson..such game changers I forgot to add….seriously though, anyone who says Mahomes been playing with talent thr last three years must get their heads checked ..those guys listed disappear when they go to other teams…when JuJu went to Patriots , he didn’t get to play…when mecole went to the Jets, he was also a bench warmer .. those are FACTs, not my opinion

You are living in paradise right now. If you think you have it bad currently, I cannot wait to hear your whining in the coming years.

We warned the Chiefs fans that the salary cap would catch up with them and it has. Now they are whining about the bed they made for themselves. It is not their fault; the system is designed to punish the achievers and reward the lousy teams. That is why dynasties are so hard.

I give credit where it is due. KC enjoyed a great dynasty. One of the top 5 in the Super Bowl era. But all good things.....

Funny people say this kinda stuff but won’t put money on it…if you had to put a money that the dynasty is done, you wouldn’t..speaks volumes
