It has to be what about 20 years since Cena was a heel as the Dr of Thuganomics?

I'm confused..

On the 1 hand...it doesn't hurt Cena 1 bit, since this is his last "run"..

On the other hand..it makes no sense for Cena...as his whole schtick has been "last time is now" with his merch and fan service..why switch now?

So Cena wins at WM and then Punk wins MITB and uses it to get a match at SummerSlam and pins Cena to win the title?

if this doesn't end in Rock/Cena and Austin/Rhodes it's a total fail. Have the cards stacked against Cody at WM then the glass shatters and the roof comes off.

yep which is why I was surprised people doubted a heel turn, people act like hes been eternally face now they can forget a heel run it doesnt ruin him with kids, thats prob why Bianca agreed as well. Look at Seth he goes from tweener to heel to face and still is super popular whenever he is strong face.

Many people forget Cena entered the WWE as a heel.

Things have come full circle.

Only thing is I think is blowoff is last match ever in December is Cena vs Rock. Rock acts like he owns Cena and Cena finally turns back face and those two end Cena's in ring career together.

It's also almost like a passing of the torch eventually as the next big babyface from Cena to Cody, it makes no sense for cody to turn when he is about to be the new Cena.

I am actually beyond shocked Cena turned heel on his retirement run. I mean I like it but now his 17th world title win won't be a huge deal because he'll be boo'd.

The angle makes sense now. He'll come out and say he knows he could never beat Cody at his age and needed to join The Rock to ensure he wins his 17th world title because "it's best for business"

Punk still has a favor to cash in from Heyman. Seeing as how Rollins stomped him after being eliminated, and as Punk never tapped out, he could have Heyman convince HHH (or Aldis) to add him to the Cena/Cody match.

I doubt that changes, the last time is still now hence the desperation. It also prob doesnt hurt merch much, we forget as most of us aren't kids or teens kids have moved on to Cody etc, the people buying the specific city last time is now merch is prob the same other than maybe an uneducated parent who doesnt know and see's him cut a rude heel promo at an event.

Nope Punk needs to stay out of that match. It's going to be triple threat of Punk/Rollins/Roman

At least The Rock didn't use the term "Momma Rhodes" again.

For someone who cannot watch weekly anymore I thought that was a pretty good close to the show. Travis Scott over in the corner doing his own thing with his spray. The Rock in his pj's and Cena doing all the dirty work.

They need to have someone in the press ask Cena about his legacy and letting down the people the young kids and then Cena pulls a Jordan and says **** them kids.

I knew it wasn't gonna happen but for more madness the pop Roman's music would of got during the beatdown would of been insane. What does he do at Mania? Triple threat wit Punk/Rollins? Speaking of pipe dream but I'd love if AJ has secretly been training and they did Punk/AJ vs Becky/Seth, I actually think that would make it one of the more popular matches on the card.

Cena will end his career back as a Babyface. You can't have heel Cena out there doing all those Make-A-Wish appearances.

Do we think he was going back after the show to see the MAW kid he met with earlier in the day?

I kind of feel like they're setting up Punk vs. Rollins vs. Paul

Thinking we'll see McIntyre vs. Priest now.

While again fan memory spans are short the one thing I'm surprised about if Bianca is turning heel as well is her and Cena are both huge with kids different demographics obviously but turning them both at the same time is abit surprising.

I don't understand why everyone thinks that Punk's favor cash in is going to be like a MITB cash in. It's not going to be used to be used to turn an existing match into a triple threat match.

I think it would have made more sense to have Jade attack Bianca and have Cargill vs. Bel-Air at Mania. Naomi being the one who attacked just doesn't do it for me.

AJ has been out what over a decade now? Don't see any appeal in her coming back.

I think he'll end as somewhat babyface at least as well, even if a simple handshake after last match respect thing but i'm not expert on his acting career but is this any different than if he plays a bad/evil character in a movie? Not sure if he has or will for those reasons but getting into full-time acting if he plays a villain in some pg-13 movie i dont think it ruins the MAW career.
