I bought a jumbo box, the first release of flagship is always a fun time for me each year. I have been busy this year and didn't get to open it on release day. I started in on it last night, opened 6 packs and 2 of my "hits' were both Pete Armstrong Crow relic cards. I was too pissed off to open rest yet, I better have a good autograph (and not Pete Armstrong).

This is not hyperbole.
Bonds probably has one of the nicest autos in baseball. Ironic.

I first saw Barry play in person at Dodger Stadium in fall 1990, when that card design was current on the shelf. He didn't homer, but Bonilla did, and the Pirates won. Happy to say the next (and final) 3-4 games I saw Bonds play in for the Giants, the Dodgers won them all.
The Bonds Pirates autographs in this set are objectively spectacular, showing him when pure talent alone made him the best in the game. Congrats to those who get them. All the Bonds '90 autos together are averaging about $1,750 from the first 20 or so Ebay sales, all raw, of course. How many of these did Barry sign in total? That's how many of that particular 2k lottery ticket Topps put into this product. Topps posted the Larry David auto superfractor just sold for 10 grand.

I am more interested (to know things) about those Fanatics branded 9 pocket pages. Anyone know if they tapped BCW or Ultra•Pro for these? If they are just rebranded UP “Platinums” that will be great. If they are BCW retail cheapies that would not surprise me. |

I almost went for one of these binders because I love filling pages, but decided I don’t like the art that much. |

Fanatics uses the same factory as BCW (so "short" penny sleeves (compared to CBG/UP) and slightly lower quality pages, etc) |

Below are my hits from 2 hobby and 2 jumbo, preordered from Topps. Shouldn’t complain considering my jumbos provided a HOF auto (/50) and a 2 time MVP auto, while one hobby contained an auto (of someone I’ve heard of!) and the other an Acuna Relic #ed to 10. But, as many others here have said, the tough pill to swallow is the lack of traditional numbered parallels. 3 golds total in 2 hobby/2 Jumbo is nuts. Pulled the one team logo, one each of purple/gold/orange foil, plus a couple out of the silver packs.

I am not one to complain usually, but I bought 2 Hobby boxes from Topps as I usually do with Series 1 and Update. I will open one for fun and keep one sealed.
The one I opened has to be up there with the worst box I have ever opened: best card was a Wyatt Langford relic which is maybe a $4 card. I did get a base Crews and Wood to make up for it . . . |

I just my set put away in binders that I ordered off E-bay and this is one of my favorite designed years after seeing them in person. The front colors really look nicer being a foil-type and I love how the stat cards have the head shot of the player on back too.

Yes, props to them for that. But I think it means it can still be from a spring training game, though.

I have a regular 1990 auto and the 1/1 platinum version, and I almost can't tell the difference -- it's a letdown. The main difference is one cost a lot more than the other.
