We have to keep racing to the bottom because no one is buying a card at it's current price.

It happens in every business.

It makes me laugh when I hear people complaining someone is undercutting them.

The market for sports cards is getting weaker for non hot cards so we will continue to ride downwards.

print runs go up. prices on boxes go up. secondary market goes down.

I don't think we wonder why "no one sends in commons" at all. It's clearly not the best match for this type of format. Sportlots is. But COMC rocks for most other levels of cards.

The biggest problem I see is so many people just sending in their junk. I try to only send in cards where I'll have a COMC monopoly or I know I can have the lowest price and still be happy with the potential profit.

Looks like 99 out of my 100 highest priced cards are all COMC monopolies. Of the ~240 cards I have priced at $80 and up it looks like around three of them are NOT monopolies.

I'm supersweetcards.

I guess shipping is a problem again. I requested just under 90 cards on 1/11. It was supposed to ship today. The expected ship date is now 2/25 with 147,000 cards in front of me.

I don't buy many "good" cards from COMC, so all of them can wait. I just don't want to wait On one hand, there's no rush, but some of the cards I have in my inventory have been sitting there for months already. My habit is to buy for awhile until I build up enough to justify paying for shipping. But when I get to that point, I don't want to have to choose between waiting another month or two, or paying a huge premium for something faster. Is another couple weeks *that* big of a deal, no, but at some point I want to get my stuff without waiting that much longer. That might be having my cake and eating it too, but wait times weren't always this excessive. It just seems like they've never caught back up

They definitely go through phases, but they caught up for standard shipping before the Black Friday sales. Then they had to package a million cards in a few weeks which began another backlog. Even after Christmas it seems like they were back to a low number of orders.
But then the liquidation of like 10 fresh UD Marvel sets started happening, and I'm guessing a lot of people are sending back their cases worth of hits.

You just have to be on the lookout for when people applaud their standard shipping or note low backlogs, and take advantage.

Has anyone used the pre-grade program? I submitted one card and got an email saying the review was done...but there is no result next to the submission.

I was planning to reach out to them but figured someone here might know.

So my assumption has long been that it either says “pass” or “is blank” and blank means it failed their inspection. I’ve had that on 1 out of 4 cards I’ve used this for.

I’ve subbed those that have passed using comc and all have received psa 10 - for what it’s worth.

I'm a relatively new seller on COMC. I was planning on making my first request to cash-out store credit soon. I was curious to see what others prefer and what their experiences have been. I had thought I would just request a check but then saw that an ACH/direct deposit option was available. Does anybody here do the ACH/direct deposit (into your bank account) option? If so, have you ever had any issues? If you do a physical check, have you ever had any issues with that? Other preferences others have?

I'm particularly interested in the ACH/direct deposit (into bank account) option, but I'm just hesitant to give such personal information to third party companies - thus, why I'm wanting to see others' experiences first. Thanks in advance.

They seem to have things operating at "normal efficiency" in cycles. This week it's reprocessing cards, shipping, and customer service that are lacking.

Kinda seems they need to hire more people.

I just requested a shipment of 70 cards and this is pushing the numbers last seen after the Black Friday week sale in 2023.

They gave me a $5 future shipping credit without me reaching out. It expires mid May. I have 0 cards ready to ship and usually request one shipment a year so it will probably go unused.

I also had a first of a card I purchased over Black Friday sale can’t be found so I was credited it back.

Guys, read the fine print when you use the pre-grade service. It is all specified there.

* Cards we are confident are in MINT or better condition will receive the note [Passed Pre-Grade Review] and be locked in your COMC inventory, prepared for submission through any of our PSA and CGC group submission offerings.
* Cards that do not meet the Pre-Grade Review threshold will be reprocessed as Elite and deposited into your COMC account.

I've never used it cause it is a waste of money

but with this new managed accounts I still get 50 free pre reviews a quarter. But I'm worried they'll damage my cards so I'm not even sure I want to use it anyway...
