The release date had been more mid-March since Nov/Dec and it was moved up recently, so hoping that's a good sign its on time.

Will Extended include O-Pee-Chee Update cards this year?

They did that pre-Covid and I liked getting some marque rookies and players on their new teams.

Not sure, but I haven't seen that in recent years and the O-Pee-Chee checklist has 100 rookies in it. Not sure anything worthwhile would be left to put in there.

There are 60 Marquee Rookies in OPC this year.

Good catch, the checklist said "All Star/Marquee Rookies #501-600" Completely glossed over the All Star piece of that.

Has anyone seen a YG eval yet for S2? Very little buzz although Sharks and Flyers seem to be getting crazy prices in breaks. Of.course part of that is the other YGs seem a bit rough and Canvas YG basically non-existent outside of Will Smith

Value wise no one outside Celebrini/Michkov are worth mentioning. It doesn't always line up but if you want a tip you can atleast see who UD thinks are the top rookies/YG's by other checklists. Like here is the 94-95 Die-cut checklist:

RDT-11 Brad Lambert, Winnipeg Jets
RDT-12 Josh Doan, Utah Hockey Club
RDT-13 Macklin Celebrini, San Jose Sharks
RDT-14 Lane Hutson, Montreal Canadiens
RDT-15 Matvei Michkov, Philadelphia Flyers
RDT-16 Liam Ohgren, Minnesota Wild
RDT-17 Will Smith, San Jose Sharks
RDT-18 Logan Mailloux, Montreal Canadiens
RDT-19 Mavrik Bourque, Dallas Stars
RDT-20 Frank Nazar, Chicago Blackhawks

A bit wider checklist, the Jumbo Young Guns CL:

451 Macklin Celebrini, San Jose Sharks
459 Ethan Cardwell, San Jose Sharks
461 Oliver Kapanen, Montreal Canadiens
474 Rutger McGroarty, Pittsburgh Penguins
475 Albert Johansson, Detroit Red Wings
477 Calum Ritchie, Colorado Avalanche
478 Conor Geekie, Tampa Bay Lightning
480 Zachary L’Heureux, Nashville Predators
483 Joel Blomqvist, Pittsburgh Penguins
484 Jett Luchanko, Philadelphia Flyers
485 Samuel Honzek, Calgary Flames
489 Seamus Casey, New Jersey Devils
491 Nolan Allan, Chicago Blackhawks
492 Matvei Michkov, Philadelphia Flyers

I doubt there are any break steals or hidden gems outside those names that aren't highly speculative.

This is indeed a very top heavy YG class, I think that is why they are introducing the "teammate" YG cards. Will be very curious if those carry value similar to the YG checklist, the regular YG or somewhere in the middle.

the Celebrini/Smith dual Teammates YG might end up being the 3rd best.

May be the best product in a long time for team collectors to enter into breaks. Outside of the Flyers and the Sharks I don't think a single team warrants more than $25/spot for the whole case.

Just like last year being Bedard or bust, it's the top-2 or a bust box for sure.

Here is a decent dive into the checklist, basically affirms the general thinking:https://youtu.be/x8oeZoZrdhk?si=QLefOX1ihPYtI1BF

Sid Crosby always gets the rough end of the stick, gets the cover again and it's weak YG class lol Mcdavid gets S1 of course lol

Upper Deck may have to scale back from 50 Young Guns in Series 1 and 2 to like 30 or something moving forward.

So since this is littered with scrubs is it now $89 a box?
Nope. $150.00

Pricing is dictated by the high end lottery chance, not the depth of average palyers.

Yeah, I doubt *MOST* flagship product ever ends up that cheap or even discounted regardless of the class with the introduction of outburst parallels, which is what UD wanted. Rookie class may be weak but maybe you hit the Mcdavid gold 1/1! They're cool but I knew at that point the days of cheap boxes are gone.

If you like flagship and have interest in the numbered outburst/deluxe/high gloss then hobby is worth with 2 solid prospects.

If you shop outside the big 3 you can find this a little cheaper too, I'm in at $120/box for what I'm picking up.
