Yeah looks like he's scribbling "Ohtani" now which could be cool if it looked a little cleaned up and less rushed/streaky but I don't think anything will beat the 2018 and 2013 style autos

To me this looks like RC autos are going to command an even larger premium now. And if you can't afford one you should get a nice 2019-2021 style auto of your favorite topps brand.

Why would he change his signature to be more involved? Can’t help but feel like this just means he’s getting an… assist on these now.

Haha, flew over my head - all good. His new scribble auto looks like more work than his c-8 but I'm sure he's signing overtime.

Call me crazy but I think the RC autos will remain superior just because it's his rookie year. Most people probably aren't going around dissecting the minor details of a signature from year to year.
