I don't rip much, so it's not for me. However, I appreciate the members that sell their factory sets. I pick one up every year. Love those sets. They kinda remind me of limited edition Tiffany sets from the 80's.

Thanks for the info fellas

With the football and basketball licenses starting in 2026..I bet fanatics will have a club for baseball basketball & football separately. I hope it’s not the case, but don’t know why they wouldn’t do it????

Football and basketball is already included for 2025. Having to have 3 memberships would be absolutely insane. But hey look at the current state of the US insanity has been normalized....

Sold out. Or the planned selling period was until noon. Either way, it’s now too late for anyone that was on the fence.

They probably yanked it. Bad for business if MC is sitting for days. Its no loss to Fanatics cutting memberships short, they'll just send excess product to breakers anyway.

You give Fanatics WAY too much credit.

I give them the least amount of credit as possible. I hate them.

They are far too incompetent to worry about how long a membership is available for. They frequently post the wrong dates of availability on products.

I bought one after not renewing my membership in 2024. It will probably be worth it. It's not as exciting as it used to be, but it's not as worthless as I thought.

Didn't bother to take a screenshot of it but the ordering page specified that the deadline to join the club was today at 12 noon EST.

It was ended at noon. When someone posted a discord/bot group said their were 1300 new memberships still available I figured I'll call and take a shot. I said I would buy as many memberships as they would sell me and pay whatever method they want after the memberships didn't sell out today. The 2 people I talked with said whatever available new memberships didn't sell they just wouldn't sell. This company is so stupid that they literally won't take tens of thousands of dollars for something that cost them essentially nothing. Those boxes they will just sell for the same price via EQL or even better to BO and co. for around 75% of MSRP.

Seems pretty likely they just wanted to leave it open all week for as many people that wanted to sign up. If it was open noon monday to noon Friday...sounds very nice of them to give everyone a shot.

How do you think that convo was really going to go?

What are the odds you'd even talk to someone who had any authority to do that?

Also why would they allow you to do that when it's a one per household restriction?

Several reasons. Have you ever called them? It's the same as Panini. Hardly anyone works the phone lines there. So when talking to multiple people its easy to talk to someone in charge.

Topps has final authority on how many memberships can be sold to one person/household. If they want to sell more than 1 per household to a customer they can.

I only called because I knew the new memberships weren't going to sell out. And they didn't sell out. It probably didn't even come close to selling out. There were people with dozens of memberships when everyone wanted Monty Club. When the new memberships sold out fast. Now very few want it and I do want them. It's capped at 1 per household for the vast majority.

They can do what they want. Im just showing you an example of how the way these two companies run their business makes no sense. Panini is worse of course. Topps could have sold me 100+ memberships at $200 a piece. If they said we will just give you the right to buy those new products we can't send you that many sets thats fine. I could care less about the $40-$50 set. So Im essentially paying $200 times x amount to be able to then pay them the same price or more than they sell those exact same products to other people for. If they factor in the membership cost, they will sell every single one of those boxes I would have bought for less money now. From a business prospective, how does that make sense? It doesn't. But that's one of many issues both these companies have. Panini's will be a very small issue for the vast majority of buyers once they lose both licenses.

I agree with you that some of what they do makes no sense, but your example here shows you're delusional. They are a billion dollar company. You can't just cut a backroom deal with them.

This day and age with social media, the backlash of someone finding out that a random guy asked to buy out the memberships when there are limits makes no sense.

You keep making comments like you and Blowout provide Topps the same value. Hate to break it to you. You do not. Blowout is a partner. Selling product at a price lower than they'd sell to you is part of the partnership since they will move other product you are not willing to buy at orders of magnitudes differences.

I realize the odds of getting the memberships was slim. I figured it was worth a few minutes on the phone. I've spent countless hours on the phone and still can't get them to send me Monty Club emails.

I've had this discussion on here a billion times. Im sure its strange to hear from me but what's the point of repeating myself for the million time with some big, long response? Nothing is going to change. What percentage of Topps and Panini products released the last 5 years are BO and co taking a loss on? What 2-3%? For the small amount, what is the loss? 2%? What percentage are they making more profit than the total cost those companies sell them the products for? More than you can count. There is a reason no other businesses on earth operate the way Topps and more specifically Panini do.

If Topps and Panini voided BO's "partnership" tomorrow you would have a million people lining up to pay Topps and Panini full MSRP and above for that allocation. The full allocation too. So how does selling instead to BO for 20-25% lower make sense? Hell, if they wanted to, Panini and Topps could tell BO tomorrow you have to pay full MSRP and they would. BO would complain but if those companies said you can pay full MSRP or lose your allocation BO would pay full MSRP. Topps and Panini haven't needed these "partners" since 2019.

Not that it matters but I didn't call twice about this. I called once and talked to two different people. Not counting the hold time while I was working anyway the total time was probably 15 minutes.

If you want to make fun of me, do it for how many countless times I called for the Monty Club email stuff last year. I talked to the same two women I don't know how many times over how many weeks and they gave me every bs ridiculous excuse in the book about why I'm not receiving the emails and why they can't send them to me. I guess it makes sense this company won't figure things out when they can't even figure out how to send people emails.
