Default 2024 Topps Chrome Platinum

Has anyone heard any news about whether they will continue the Topps Chrome Platinum line with 1955 design?

Based on the timing of 2024 releases and how late that product has come out before, I'd say end of the year? Maybe fall? I'm not joking.

I was really annoyed that they did away with the Atomic /100 in red and blue.

It's basically Heritage Chrome with an Archives-style checklist featuring both active and retired players.

Am I the only one that thinks of toilet cards when I see this?

It's crazy that this is where the card manufacturers are at. Pulling rookie cards from the previous season, after the next season had concluded.

One of the fastest triggers in the world for my 17 year old is to say Skibidi...if looks could kill I'd be dead.

Thanks for the confirmation.....the 1955 design is perfect for the concept with its nice colorful backgrounds, as was the 1954 design.

Just hope they don't raise box prices through the roof....I'd really like to be able to afford to open 4-6 boxes.....

Mid-2026 perhaps?

Something needs to give with this product. There was way too much collectability and value in the product last year, plus the on card autos make other products look cheap.

This was perhaps, at release, the most fun and affordable product topps put out. I will also mention the last two years were good too, despite centering issues.

I look for mass breakers to drive this product up and for topps to water it down, thus killing the product.

Agree that the product was a lot of fun, but $125 for a box of 96 cards is NOT affordable for this type of product. Would've been a lot more fun at $80-100 a box.

If there is any truth to this video, the set might not even come out this year.

Huge bummer -- the only set I was still collecting.

RIP Platinum.

Glad I was able to rip a couple hobby cases (2022) before extinction (even though my best hit probably came from a blaster box).

Reliable sources have reported that 2024 is being skipped, with the 1955 design being released sometime in the fall as 2025 Platinum Anniversary.

That video is out of date....
