Default Finished my most ambitious auto set yet. See mine/Post yours.

With overproduction and breaking really not making any monetary sense, I decided to put a decently ambitious set together over the past year. I’ve always enjoyed posts from those that put together cool looking auto sets, and for anyone looking to mix things up in their PC and have some intentionality in their mindless eBay searches I highly recommend undertaking a similar project.

Again, when you compare to breaking costs, this is really fairly inexpensive for a complete set with decent names and some speculative upside (although I do not expect it will be worth more than I paid for it anytime soon. Just off the top of my head, I’m guessing I spend $1,400-$1,500 after shipping.

I was a little nervous that the Joendry Vargas didn’t get made but one finally popped up that wasn’t titled very well. Not loving that the Holliday is in a slab but hard to justify cracking a 10. On the prowl to replace it when the price is right.

Anywho, thanks for looking and would be interested in seeing any recent projects you guys recently completed.

Great accomplishment!

I wish more people would build more sets in the hobby.

Great looking set!! It is sad to see the state of signatures these days. Most guys just scribble now. Gone are the days of Sandy Koufax, Mariano Rivera, Randy Johnson and Ken Griffey Jr.

You're not lying, but to be fair, the quantity of autos these guys sign might beat Koufax by a factor of a few hundred.

Randy had quite the scribble of an auto at the ballpark.

Awesome set!!! Excellent accomplishment!!
Most of the new signatures do suck but none of these guys were taught cursive handwriting in school.

Here is a set I put together a little while ago. I don’t have access to them right now for a group photo but here are the pics from the vault. I have also upgraded the Banks and Johnson recently.

Going to look to do something like this next. The worst part about doing a set like the one I did is that 75% will ultimately become guys no one knew existed. It's obviously a bit pricier, on a per card basis, to do what you did. But what a great piece to show off to any baseball fan

I actually bought the set as a set, all raw cards. Then I had the set graded and originally had 7 tens 5 nines. When I got these in 2015 I basically paid the same as your set but some trade cards were involved. The upgrades have cost me almost as much as what they were raw. I bring this up because your set really cool and will appreciate with time as well. Besides the money doesn’t really matter the fun is in the chase of the cards. Putting sets together is the most enjoyable part of the hobby for me, even if i did buy this one.

The first time I saw this set, I knew I had to have it. Some of the best looking cards I've ever seen IMO. I only wish that Jose Ramirez had an auto for this, but he's only in the base set. Haven't decided what the next set to target is.

He's in this one and it's not a huge set.

They really pop in person, the scans don't do them justice. And there's no Aaron Judge in the base autos so you don't have to waste money on overrated Yankees.

Just looked at checklist and some good names included, this may be the one!
