No thread yet?
Sorry, still crap with pics but I got something I'd been after, and graded too. https://x.com/DavidGa47454865/status...97064006959558 Michael Gambon, who I needed for the Doctor Who alumni collection. |

Cool comics!
I think they might be Swedish as opposed to German, though. Whatever, I'll bet those are a lot harder to find than American comics from the same period.

Had to share one of the nicest sketches I’ve ever owned, and have ever seen. Spider-Man Renditions Black Cat AP by Alvin Manalo.

The new Cuyler Smith "Trading Cards" series was just released and are now arriving in collectors' mail boxes. These are limited edition trading card sized art prints that are autographed by the artist and hand-serial numbered, usually to 80 copies.
When they first went live, I ordered some singles I didn't want to miss out on and a sealed packs of 5 for the "random" experience. The pack is $90, same as the cost of 5 regular cards ($18 each), but there is a Napoleon Dynamite card that can only be found within the pack. That's the one card in the new series that was not offered a la carte. The back of the pack wrapper is also autographed by the artist. Here are my singles: ![]() Loved the "Always Sunny" wrestling episode which the trio is from. A previous series featured Danny DeVito as Frank "The Trashman" Reynolds from that same episode. "Wednesday" is from the NetFlix series starring Jenna Ortega. Nice likeness there. Good ol' Wooderson is from "Dazed and Confused", one of my all-time favorite movies, all right, all right, all right. Jason Voorhees is from the original "Friday The 13th" movie, so I picked that up for my horror movies card collection. Here's the pack contents: ![]() Shown is the auto'd reverse side of wrapper, the Napoleon Dynamite exclusive, Troy Barnes from "Community", Stifler from "American Pie", a Gizmo Lenticular motion card from "Gremlins" and another Jason, which is a little unlucky, I guess, to get a double of one I'd already bought, but I'd planned to get another of that one anyway, so all good. The Gizmo looks amazing in person and lenticulars actually cost $25 as singles, so it was an added value getting one of those in the pack compared to the direct purchase price. The lenticulars are from a larger production run, 250 copies (likely to justify the production cost), so those will likely remain available sometime after most of the others have sold out. Almost half of the new 40 cards have already sold out from the Gallery1988, the numbered editions. Once a card does sell out, a few artist proofs become available at Cuyler Smith's own online shop. Once those are gone, they're good for good, which is true of the vast majority of the nearly 300 cards issued to date.

I picked up this great Wonder Woman AP sketch card by Israel Arteaga:
![]() It took about a month to travel from Mexico to the U.S., but once it hit Dallas, it suddenly took an unexpected two week detour to Arizona and California before coming back to Austin. Luckily the package was fine when it finally made it to me right before the new year. |

I think those Cuyler Smith cards have more thought put into their design than a lot of cards I see, jdandns. Thanks for sharing. And that Black Cat sketch *is* fantastic, Dredd.

I sent a slabbed CGC gem mint to PSA through COMC (anyone do that before, crossover using comc?). Kinda risky because it cost like $42 for that tier, and I guess PSA cracks it then grades it afresh. Any less than a 10 would be getting clobbered here.
Reason I did it is because trying to get all the Dyna Etch’s in PSA 10 (with a username like this how can I not??). Lucked prevailed on this one, was thrilled. At 5 of the 8 in 10 now

Sounds like a fun slab project, Dyna! I probably won’t do it, but would be fun to get a PSA 10 of each Dinosaur sketch in the 2015 Dinosaurs checklist. I’ve slabbed like 2 dozen so far and only gotten a handful of 10’s including this one that just came back…
![]() I have several CGC 10 Dino sketches but not sure I will do the crossover on those. |

Yea probably wouldn’t do the CGC to PSA crossover with a sketch in 10. Well unless you’re actually going for an all PSA 10 project. One thing is you can’t do the bulk economy $22 rate if it’s a crossover, it’s like double that (charging extra for having to crack the slab I guess). PSA also does seem very iffy lately on if something’s an 8, 9, or 10..so will be a gamble and I doubt whether they take into consideration the previous slab. With mine, it was an outdated slab where CGC’s gem mint was a 9.5…which I know, I know, is a gem mint, but not looked at by the hobby quite the same as a 10 imo. I actually bought that CGC 9.5 dyna etch off comc for only like $15. That’s either a reflection of people not realizing it’s equivalent to a CGC 10, or possibly a reflection of CGC’s gem mint values for 90s marvel cards.
