Sorry if this has been answered already but why is the Ultra Deluxe version cheaper than the hobby box? Hobby doesn’t guarantee an auto or sketch per box while the Ultra Deluxe guarantees 2 sketches & 1 signature. Also the box topper per 12-mini box configuration for the Ultra Deluxe appears to include a Budianksy sketch. Are the KS boxes juicy like the Ultra Deluxe or more along the lines like hobby?

It's cheaper because you only get 7 cards in a mini box.
You HAVE to open a case of 12 to build a set

The box topper I opened tonight had a Ken Haeser sketch

Deluxe has a COMPLETELY different set than the hobby version. So to be complete, you'd need both. Dynamite is banking on that.

Has nothing to do with grading. Come to think about it, I haven’t sent anything to PSA for a year now. That’s definitely a record. I personally don’t like sketch cards where the side edges are colored. Also not a fan of colors bleeding through. Sketches can be done cleanly without this IMO. Anyhow I picked up an Ultra Deluxe 12-mini box ‘box’. Will open and post results Christmas morning.

For kickstarter peeps. I went in and saw I was asked what characters I wanted for my 5x7 cards. So check it if you have not gotten and email. Also backerkit surveys starting to go out.

I’m hearing from collectors opening the Ultra Deluxe SKU that they’re only pulling Haeser sketch cards from the box topper. Has anyone seen a Bob sketch card? Also the Deluxe boxes seem to be difficult to find sealed. I see many selling loose mini-boxes but can’t find a sealed 12 mini-box to purchase. Were there less than 200 made?

Dynamite does not release print runs, so can't say on how many.

Yes, you can pull Budiansky sketch in the case topper. But there seems to be more Haesars.

I know I sold out of all my sealed "cases", but I also sold a fair amount of single boxes.

This has been a solid release.

Thank you for the response Ed. I picked up the Jazz Haeser sketch from you the other day. Are the hobby configurations selling as well? Or is the Ultra Deluxe the clear winner? It seems so lopsided in terms of getting autos & sketches. Anyone know how many autos & sketches come out of a hobby case?

Don't get me started on Hobby...

Dynamite has not delivered that part of my order to me yet. Was promised it was shipping today, but we'll see.

Premium is the clear winner if you want sketches and autos. But the base set is small and the 2 chase sets are just OK.

Hobby has a much larger set, so for set collectors it's still the way to go.

The whole set is sold out from Dynamite, I inquired about anything left and there are no boxes of any of the 4 options left. Everything is in the hands of dealers (or, on the way to them grrrr).

Thank you for the information Ed. I really appreciate this type of info. I’m also loving that Ravage Bob sketch you just listed. Any wiggle room for Christmas? 🎅

An odd thing I’ve noticed are that most of the sketch cards have the Autobot/Decepticon logo printed & pasted onto the card. Apparently some of the logo sketches were done so poorly/unrecognizable that Hasbro asked that they be redone. So instead of having new sketch cards produced Dynamite printed the appropriate Autobot/Decepticon logo in the correct size and glued them onto the existing sketch card. I’ve never seen such a thing before.

I guess that's one solution. They were VERY strict about the logo depictions. I haven't seen any of my cards surface yet, I wonder if they messed with mine?

It could also be the artist sketched an Autobot on a Decepticon back (& vice versa) and Dynamite decided to print and paste little logos on the back lol

I can only imagine how long this took. I can see how this release kept getting pushed up a few weeks.

Yes that’s a perfect example. Dynamite printed all sorts of sizes to accommodate the sketch cards. I have some that have huge logos and some that are tiny. Personally I can’t believe the artists cared so little about the Autobot/Decepticon logo.

This happened as well. There are sketch cards with new Autobot/Decepticon logos printed for the backs of the cards. What a mess.

oh my gosh that's so weird. Thanks for drawing my attention to it. I can only imagine the amount of back and forth facepalming that (hopefully) was taking place in the offices about each step in this process.

Next time give the artists the stickers beforehand in a bunch of sizes and viewing angles if logo integrity is that important. Make'em holofoily too. It'd be less hassle than printing more sketch blanks that need to be accounted for.

I never even knew there were different backs when I did mine as nobody ever pointed it out. I'm sure I mixed some up.

I am not a big fan of these cards; opened two blasters and while I pulled some nice cards, getting these graded high is going to be a pain. Very soft corners on a lot of them.

Now that the logos were pointed out, I can't unsee them--and it is very obvious which ones are pasted on!

On the Kickstarter, I did spring for two of the 5x7 sketch cards. I hope the logos are up to snuff on those...

Has anyone seen an artist checklist for this set yet?

Good luck on an artist list.

Dynamite almost never releases one, and if they do they are usually incomplete.
Their sell sheets sometimes have the beginning of a list, this time they did not.

I just saw this for the first time today. Almost grabbed a pack but didn’t know what the “hits” were so went with Minecraft

The "hits" vary with which of the different configurations you're talking about.

Glad you reinvigorated this thread. I'm still waiting on mine. But I did opt for a couple of the 5x7 sketches. Still, they can't seem to give me timelines. Reminds me of why I stopped commissioning so much!

It was packs of not sure and what looked like the mega posted in here somewhere. Was hoping for some pics as I’m still interested but typical three pages of nothing lol and YouTube breaks are all approaching half-hour, not my style.

If I had known there were sketches/autos if they are even possible in Megas I would have bought one. I think all I saw were Holofoil mentioned. Also wasn’t sure given the company the card quality etc
